It's National Chocolate Chip Day!!

What better way to celebrate than some fresh baked chocolate chip scones?!

These ones are for my Gluten Free Friends.

GF All purpose flour
salty butter
rich cream
sweet vanilla extract

and...

MINI CHOCOLATE CHIPS! (Always measured by the heart.)

Glazed with a vanilla brown sugar icing that is TO DIE FOR!

🍒💣💥 Toasted Almond Cherry Bomb~ Dark Chocolate. Cherry. Almonds. YES, please!! The hardest part of this recipe was pitting the cherries and I promise, it's definitely worth the effort! Classic almond scones dotted with tart cherries, toasted almonds and dark chocolate chunks! You can't go wrong!

Spotlight: The Perfect Pair ~ Fall Edition 🍂

Cranberries & Oranges just GO together!

🍊 These Cranberry Orange scones are the perfect fall treat to go with your coffee in the morning☕, tea in the afternoon🫖, or a sweet treat before bed. They are so cozy and bursting with flavor! Tart cranberry and tangy orange zest in every sweet bite.

They are ~THE BEST~ fall scones you'll ever have!

~If you know Aurora, then you know she is brutally honest, but in the nicest way possible. These scones received an exuberant 11 out of 10 from my food-loving, food-critic-in-the-making twelve year old. Therefore, I feel confident describing them as the best!!~

🍊 The important thing is to just take the time to enjoy them, no matter how busy the season gets!

Bonus: any leftovers will freeze great! I always have a few in my freezer for whenever the craving strikes!

(Psst...Even Jacob loves them and he isn't a cranberry orange fan.)

As they say, nothing can replace a classic!

When it comes to flavor, there's nothing like those favorite childhood snacks/meals that you'll never get tired of. The scent and taste are more than just bites of delicious flavor, they are nostalgia... a cookie from Grandmas cookie jar, your favorite breakfast, a Halloween costume you'll never forget, etc.

I had some fun in the kitchen today re-creating some of my favorite childhood flavors with a fun Halloween twist.

It's Fall, y'all!

Who are we kidding, I live in AZ, we don't get actual Autumn here until mid-winter!

But... we can wistfully imagine that it's a chilly night sitting by the fire pit, a cool brisk morning perfect for a walk and a warm beverage or maybe just a mild afternoon with a book and a blanket.

I love AZ, truly I do, however I really miss the turning of the leaves (NOT the clean up after they fall) and the smell of smoke from the fireplace drifting on the misty air.
