Sometimes, sharing your testimony means opening yourself up to being misunderstood by the world.

I recently sat down with Kelley Steele and she shared a deeply personal chapter of her marriage that she shared on a previous podcast cast that went viral by people who didn’t understand her story or journey.

A season of intense struggle.
And while the internet’s reaction was difficult, it was a necessary part of her journey.

She shared that leading with kindness, even when it was extremely hard, was the only way for her to truly move forward.

• I like people but in the right dose
• I choose interactions, I don’t chase them
• I’m a very observant person
• I need space after spending time with others
• I’m misunderstood (The ones who know me, know me).
•I open up quickly, and withdraw even faster
•I don’t like forced connections
• I protect my energy and boundaries without explaining
• I’m ok with being misunderstood
• I connect deeply with very few people
• I enjoy solitude
• I listen more than I speak
• I don’t need to be the center of attention
• I trust my own company
• I will isolate myself when my energy is gone
• I love silence
• I think before I speak
• I don’t care what the crowd is doing, I do my own thing
