John is the photo on the left. John's daughter, Natalie, my mother, is on the right. It was her recipe box that I found the Cantucci recipe (foreground).

Ciao and Welcome!

Every family recipe has a story…and mine begins with my mother’s recipe box.

It’s a vintage ’70s recipe box, crammed with neatly typewritten cards tucked into plastic sleeves—each meticulously written with exact measurements and detailed instructions.

But thumbing through those recipes, one card caught my attention.

It had no measurements. No instructions. It simply read “Cantucci” and listed four ingredients…in Italian!

Why was this one so different?

Perhaps it was my mother’s attempt to quickly preserve a recipe she remembered from childhood—a life rich with Italian culture, growing up with immigrant grandparents and the traditions they brought with them from Sorrento.

Whatever the reason, that simple recipe card began my journey in discovering a passion for honoring and preserving my Italian heritage by learning the craft of traditional, small-batch artisan biscotti.

My biscotti are twice-baked and hand-sliced, made with quality ingredients in the Italian tradition. Not too sweet, with that wonderful biscotti crunch, they’re made for dunking into an early-morning cup of coffee or dipping into an evening glass of w**e.

And this is only the beginning.

What starts with biscotti today carries a bigger dream for tomorrow and I hope you’ll come along on the journey.
