What a great day on the lake & the Clubhouse - thanks to all who attended our 39th annual fishing contest! Lots of fish caught with the largest weighing in at 9 lbs, 4 oz!! Thank you Stewart Lions, Brownton Lions & Polar Bears for your donations to the kids raffle - lotta smiles! 2026 Ice Fishing Contest Update
The Brownton Rod & Gun Club Annual Ice Fishing Contest will be held Saturday, February 7th at 1pm. Activities will be held on the ice from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
Youth License and Ice Castle Fish House raffle drawings will take place at the clubhouse, beginning at 4:30 p.m.
The clubhouse will be opening at noon for your enjoyment.
Once again, the South Lake Access will be closed to vehicle traffic on Saturday, from approximately 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Transportation is provided for participants between shore and the contest area.
Large wheelhouses are permitted on the outside edge of the contest area, and can begin placement on Friday. Small portable houses will also be allowed around, and inside, the contest area. All participants must use their own discretion in regards to ice safety. Vehicle access to the contest area will be closed beginning at 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 7th, and will remain closed until approximately 3 p.m. Please plan accordingly. No vehicles will be allowed on the ice for the duration of the contest. Wheelers will be allowed to access the contest area throughout the day.
During the contest, we ask that you please support the Rod & Gun Concession Stand by minimizing carry on food and beverages. Concessions will be available all day.
