Hi everyone! As posted back in August a CT scan revealed a mass on my lung. A biopsy was performed but tests were inconclusive. I had a PET scan yesterday but won't know the results until I meet with the oncologist next Monday. I am totally fed up with this thing running my life and I refuse to give in to it!! To that end we are coming back to Saturday Chico Market this week! We look forward to seeing you all.

Hi everyone. Regretfully we will not be able to attend Saturday market in Chico. I had to have a cat scan of my gi track but it showed a mass on my lung. Had a biopsy yesterday but won`t get results until Monday or Tuesday so I'm stuck in hospital until then.

Hi Folks, don't forget Party in the Park, Paradise.
This fun event starts tonight and runs every Thursday night for the next 12 weeks from 5.00pm to 8.30. Live bands, beer, wine, kids corner, farmers market and of course we'll be there with Donuts, Belgian waffles, baked goods and marmalades. Hope to see you there!!

To all of our loyal supporters, I have to go in for surgery tomorrow so we will be unable to attend this Saturday's market. Wednesday markets are off the cards for the next couple of months but with my dear Wife to help we will be back Saturday 17th June. This also applies to Party in the Park in Paradise which starts on the 15th.

To all of our Nevada County friends, due to recent events we no longer plan on attending the Tuesday and Thursday Growers markets. We would like to thank Mary, the market manager, for all of her help but ultimately another vendor thought we would be too much competition.

To all of our loyal supporters, I have to apologize for our absence from the markets this week. Unfortunately I was hospitalized last Wednesday and came home yesterday afternoon. I have to rest for a couple of days but I'm planning on being back on Wednesday. Thanks again for your support.

Wow, looks like it's been a while since I posted, my bad and sorry. I guess the weather has not been our friend so far this year but it looks like that's about to change. On the subject of changes, we have a couple to announce. Due to the appearance of a mobile coffee bar, we will no longer be doing coffee or hot chocolate at the Chico Markets but are happy to keep these offerings at the Nevada County markets. Our shortbreads continue to be popular so we have added 3 new flavors, Lemon Chamomile, Rum Raisin and Coconut and caramel Pecan. After a few teething problems we have finally got our latest addition up and running, freshly cooked donuts! These bad boys were a big hit on their first outing even though the shape was not to our liking. We have now tweaked the recipe to offset the altitude difference and we got some real good reviews at yesterday's market. So come and see us and enjoy warm sugared donuts that you may (or may not) share with friends.
