It's been a couple of years since I last baked a cheesecake. Just a basic Vanilla Basque here but SO good in flavor and texture. 😋

I also realized that I never provided an update to Honeybee. Maybe because I was reluctant to confront it as it makes me sad to admit that it no longer exists. We officially closed and dissolved the business in 2022-23 as we moved out of Brooklyn and it was time to let go of the space. Hopefully, one day we can be baking morsels of deliciousness again for everyone but for now, I'll just be over here making random things at home. A tad late but I also started my own sourdough journey (everyone had one during the start of the pandemic). Maybe I can also start documenting some bakes here if anyone is interested haha. Anywho, thank you to those who has been reaching out and still thinking of us. I sincerely appreciate and it makes me miss it even more. 😭

Oops, totally missed posting anything for April but here was a 100 days cake for a Disney loving family. (Note the Mickey ears haha) Little guy is nearly 1 soon. 🥰

These two little sleepy heads are so adorable. Kinda makes you want to curl up and nap too, doesn't it? 😴
Side note: I am no longer accepting orders. Thank you everyone for giving me the opportunity to create fun cakes for your special events. I will always hold these dear to my heart. ❤

Happy Love Love Day! The kiddies helped out in the kitchen making some fudgy brownies with lots of ❤ sprinkles. They also ate the entire bowl of chocolate I had reserved to mix into the batter. 😆

Can't believe that it's already the last day of the year! 2021 had its ups and downs but I hope that everyone was able to create some memories that they could fondly look back on for the years to come. Thank you all for having been by my side and for your neverending support! ❤

It's today! I had some test cookies that I've been working on for our holiday box but we ate them all up before I remembered to snap a photo. 🙈So here are some dim sum themed cookies instead. My favorite one is the egg tart. Which one is yours?

Our Story

Honeybee started as a desire to bring French inspired pastries into the Bensonhurst area. After training under French chefs in Paris and in a Michelin starred restaurant, we decided to create our own delectable treats to share with the neighborhood. Honeybee Pâtisserie eventually opened its doors in 2015.

Unexpectedly, we had to close shortly after within 2 years due to having our own warm bundle of joy! No regrets there whatsoever. All the meanwhile, during that down time, we discovered our new inspiration of gourmet cookies (specifically decorated sugar cookies). The hours that go into each minute detail was so therapeutic compared to getting adjusted to motherhood. Yes, still working on that mom thing. The many techniques that can be used for each cookie. Who knew?! These are definitely not your grocery store bought kinds. We found that cookies can both taste and look like amazing pieces of art!
