Chocolate Julep (first photo) is a dense, but creamy, mint-flavored chocolate custard, spiked with whiskey and dusted with cocoa.

Irish Coffee (second photo) is basically our fan-favorite Coffee Custard, but spiked with whiskey. Made with , it’s smooth and oh-so creamy with a slightly sweet finish.

Our Story

Four & Twenty Blackbirds pie bakery was founded in 2009 by sisters and pie makers Melissa Elsen and Emily Elsen.

The popular flagship Four & Twenty Blackbirds pie and coffee shop is located in Gowanus, Brooklyn, in addition the sisters operate a cafe in the Brooklyn Public Library, a 3,000 square foot bakery production kitchen, a seasonal storefront shop in Orient Village of Long Island and a newly opened Pie Counter + Bar in Prospect Heights, Brooklyn.

At Thanksgiving the sisters and their team annually produce by hand and distribute over 5,000 pies in 5 days to the metropolitan NYC area.

Their pies can also be found throughout NYC at various cafés, restaurants, coffee shops, grocery stores and retailers. They are an exclusive partner with the international fast casual burger brand Shake Shack, providing pies for their “Pie Oh’ My” Concrete nationwide.
