Holy heck you all are amazing! To everyone who donated thank you thank you. 40 smalls and 16 big pies went to Simmering Pot today to feed people!!
I’m so relieved to have them there and that round done!
Onwards to Wednesday pies, but what a wonderful feeling to have so much love pour in for others!


Also big Love to my partner Garrett for the support and sous chef work!

With all the talk of the SNAP benefits not being available for November (and I being one of those humans and whose kids use them)
I wanted to tell you about my Thanksgiving pie donate a pie option for this year- I did this a couple years ago also.
So the deal is you can sponsor a family with a pie by donating $10 for a 5 inch pie or $20 for a whole pie. The pies will be dropped off at The Simmering Pot in Blue hill on the Monday of Thanksgiving. So not only are you helping a family you also are supporting a small business, two of them!
The list of pies are below and the details. This is also my list for people who want to order pies for their own families for Thanksgiving.

Making the soup below which I’ve made many times is wonderful and also freezes very well for those sick days you don’t want to cook.

$10 for 12 of soup and a slice of Pumpkin chocolate ganache pie

$7 for 12 oz of soup and no pie

If you want this take on classic chicken soup to have a similar consistency to congee, add 10–15 minutes to the cooking time so that it can become nice and thick.

It’s that time of year! We are thinking of summer and painting and sorting out menus as everything seems to grow overnight.
So I have decided after talking to our friends and Morning moon on days and hours and when we will open!

So here we go- opening day Monday May 13th!

May-end of June (?) I’ll be open Mondays and Tuesdays 7am-noon

End of June through end of august I’ll be open Mondays, Tuesdays and possibly Fridays.

I will be baking for the Brooklin general this summer a few items weekly, working with again (yay!!!!) and then of course taking any special orders with a day or two notice.

I look forward to feeding you all, working with , and local farmers to provide you with all the goods. Hey we might even have some eggs for sale if my chickens keep up!
