Happy early Birthday, Jackie!

This cake reminds me of the kind of cozy cottage kitchen where fresh fruit sits on the counter, homemade preserves fill the pantry, sunshine pours through the windows, and recipes are passed down through generations.

Homemade lemon cake with a lemon curd and blueberry swirl, filled with lemon curd and blueberry filling, naturally tinted buttercream, and a design inspired by the simple beauty of summer. 🍋🫐💜

The soft yellow comes from lemon curd, while the blue-lavender details were naturally tinted using blueberries and red cabbage that was gently boiled down and transformed with a touch of baking soda.

Finished with fresh lemons, blueberries, and a vintage-inspired design, this cake was created for a special Grandma's birthday and celebrates some of summer's simplest and most delicious flavors.

One of my favorite things about baking is creating something that feels personal, so this time I made a pull-apart cupcake cake for two very special birthdays.

Dinosaurs on one side, Hello Kitty on the other—because when you're celebrating two amazing kids, one theme just isn't enough. 🦖🎀

This custom cupcake cake was made for my niece and nephew, and it may be one of my favorite creations yet. Different interests, one shared celebration, and plenty of buttercream to bring it all together.

There’s a kind of birthday memory that doesn’t live in photos. It lives in the small things.

Not the big gifts or the decorations, but the details that linger—like root beer floats on a warm day served a little too full, ice cream melting faster than you could keep up, laughter around the table, and spoons tapping softly against glass. 🍺🍨 🥄

Officially entering my 30’s the only way I know how: extra frosting, chocolate, flowers, and a completely unnecessary amount of detail 😂

So naturally I made:
✔ a heart-shaped cake (my first one!)
✔ chocolate overload on one side - ganache & Ferrero rocher filling
✔ pink florals on the other - raspberry filling
✔ a dramatic goodbye to my 20’s
✔ completely dye-free colors made with cocoa powder, raspberry, and a hint of blueberry 💕

Brought a few lemon curd, white chocolate raspberry, and vanilla cheesecake bites — plus mini Reese’s cupcakes — to work today because calories don’t count on birthdays… right? 👀
