As part of her FCCLA Professional Presentation project, Journey Cole is hosting a BOOK DRIVE! 📚

Journey has partnered with Dolly’s Imagination Library to help address the literacy crisis in Oklahoma! Her goal is to make a difference by collecting books for readers of all ages — from children and teens to adults and the elderly. 📖💕

📍 How can you help?
Donate new or gently used books and drop them off in the collection box located at Broken Bow High School, outside the office!

Let’s come together as a community to share the love of reading and make a difference, one book at a time! We can’t wait to see how many books Journey collects! 💕📚

🎃 BBHS FCCLA members had an absolute blast yesterday at Silver Dollar City in Branson, MO. This trip was purely to celebrate our members and get them excited for the year to come. From roller coaster rides, water excursions, and delicious treats members spent the day having fun and making memories. We also loved getting to see the various elaborate pumpkin displays around the park!

We would like to thank our amazing bus driver, Mr. B, who got us there and back safely, navigating some very steep and narrow mountain passes!

Congratulations to Aedyn Johnson for being selected as August Member of the Month! Aedyn was our first new member to pay his dues in Mrs. Anderson’s class this year! 🥳

What a fun morning at “The World’s Greatest Leadership Conference”! 🎪🎡

We got to watch our very own district officers, Journey Cole and Kinley Carrell, conduct the opening session, followed by an inspirational keynote from Dustin Galyon. He challenged us to step outside our comfort zone and remember to always give our best.

Our officers then participated in workshops led by state officers, encouraging them to think outside the box, bring new ideas, and find ways to make our chapter even better. We love seeing our students grow as leaders and take advantage of opportunities like these!

We finished the morning with a meal at Chili’s, making it a great day all around! ✨

Khloe Bryer, VP of Community Service, did a wonderful job sharing about FCCLA at our annual Club Fair today! A huge thank you to all the members of our officer team that took the time out of their day to work our booth and spread word about our amazing organization!

💛All proceeds go towards recruitment and chapter activities, travel and meeting costs, and competition expenses.

This year, Oklahoma FCCLA is proud to support the Readers Are Leaders outreach project in partnership with Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library to promote literacy and inspire a lifelong love of reading across our state. ❤️🤍Fun Fact: Dolly Parton is a proud FCCLA Alumni! ❤️🤍

Literacy opens doors to greater opportunities, improved health outcomes, and stronger communities. By encouraging children to read, we are helping build confident learners and future leaders.

Throughout the year, our chapter will be:
📖 Hosting book drives
💰 Raising funds to support literacy initiatives
📚 Organizing events to help families enroll children in Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, where eligible children can receive a free book delivered to their mailbox each month.

We are excited to make a difference in our community through this meaningful project and can’t wait to share our journey with you.
