🌸 Why Wanda’s Magnolia Market?
People see a business.
I see my mom.
I see a magnolia tree.
I see my children.
And I see a future I’ve dreamed about for a long time.
When I lost my mom, I knew I wanted to create something that would keep her memory alive. I didn’t want her name to simply become a memory—I wanted it to continue bringing happiness into people’s lives.
My mom’s name was Wanda, and if you knew her, you knew how much she loved the magnolia tree on our property. Out of everything we had, that tree was her favorite. It stood tall, bloomed beautifully, and always felt like home.
That’s why the magnolia became the heart of this business.
Then came the word Market.
People have asked me why I didn’t call it a bakery or photography business.
The answer is simple.
Because I don’t believe my dream fits inside one box.
Today, Wanda’s Magnolia Market may offer cakes, cupcakes, photography, and custom creations.
Tomorrow, it might include cabin decorating, celebration packages, holiday events, or a photography playground where families can come together year after year to make memories.
I wanted a name that could grow with my dreams instead of limiting them.
But if I’m being completely honest…
This business isn’t really about desserts.
It isn’t about balloons.
It isn’t even about photography.
It’s about time.
After losing my mom, I realized how quickly life changes.
I’m a mom of five incredible kids. Every practice, every game, every school event, every family dinner those moments matter. My dad is my only living parent, and I want to spend as much time with him as I can.
For years, I’ve worked hard helping build other businesses. I’m thankful for those opportunities, but somewhere along the way I realized I wanted to spend that same energy building something that belongs to my family.
I’m still working a full-time job while building this dream after work, on weekends, and whenever I can.
It’s not easy.
But I believe that if you have a dream placed on your heart, it’s there for a reason.
My hope isn’t just to own a successful business.
My hope is to build a life where I have the freedom to do what I love, create meaningful experiences for others, and still be present for the people I love most.
One day, I hope families don’t just come to Wanda’s Magnolia Market because they need a cake.
I hope they come because it’s become part of their traditions.
A place where birthdays are celebrated.
Where vacations become unforgettable.
Where family photos hang on walls for generations.
Where children grow up making memories and later bring their own children back.
If I can build something that creates those moments while honoring my mom’s legacy…
Then I’ll know I’ve succeeded.
Thank you for believing in me, encouraging me, and following along as this dream begins.
This is only the beginning.
