Hi!

Here today at 105 Maple St tag sale’n it till about 4.

Lots of gnomes and decorations left, we have some tables and chairs available also. For baking equipment we have various small wares, molds, and pans left. Plus a Christmas tree and wreath because it’s almost holiday season! 😂

For larger things we still have work tables, a 20qt mixer, spiral mixer, refrigerators and freezers, and our beautiful Doyon rotating half rack oven with steam. A somerset pass through dough sheeter is also still available. Stop in and check out what we have!!

And thank you everyone for your love and support. And thank you to the haters too, you made this decision easier! lol!

Update** good morning! Today starts our “see ewe later” sale!! A few notes, the wooden shelves have been sold and a few other things have been bought already. Everything is first come, first serve and we can’t answer any more messages but we are here 12-6 at 105 Maple Street!

Thank you for all of your love and support! If there are any cottage food bakers that need anything or want to “talk shop” please reach out, I’m always willing to help other bakers fulfill their customer’s dreams!

Good morning!!

It’s Saturday and our very last day open! Erika wants to be able to spend all day up front saying goodbye to all of our wonderful customers who really have become friends! To do that she needs to finish up cake orders, so doors are open at 9am but the cases will be stocked around 10am. Come on down and see her and share some memories to make this day a little better. We’re pretty sad to be leaving you all, to say the least.

If we could leave with one last request it would be to be kind to everyone. Include everyone, celebrate everyone, and acknowledge everyone for who they are and accept that it’s their choice to be who they are. ❤️🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️🇺🇸🍁🐑

Good morning, everyone

It is with profound sadness that we must announce that we are closing up earlier than expected. The cost to stay open is just too much and we need to save what we have for our custom orders that are confirmed.

This coming Saturday will be our last day open to the public and we will have as much of whatever we can make as possible. Come on down and share one last moment with us before Bakery On Maple becomes a memory.

Thanks for sticking with us, it means the world to us!

Hi!!

As we wind down the retail side of the bakery we will be closed on Fridays now. We still will be open on Saturdays and Sundays 9-3 both days. So please come by then and grab what we have!!

Thank you again to everyone who made this possible! We are forever grateful for this opportunity to serve our community in a way that included everyone from all walks of life, all religions, all nationalities, and everyone’s own personal identities were safe here. We only judged people on their choices of cake flavors, I mean coconut, lemon and peanut butter…c’mon! 😅

We wanted to be here for years to come, but what we do just couldn’t be done on a scale needed to keep this location going. The people we met, the smiles we shared, the feeling of physical and mental exhaustion while also feeling content are memories that we will never forget!

People say “if I knew then what I know now things would be different” and it’s soooo true! We wish we did things differently operating this business. But we also have no regrets on the social issues we stand for and how we used our platform to support them.

As we change we will still be firm on social issues and still have great things to treat yourselves with! Fighting the good fight is never over!

We love ewe all!!🐑❤️🍁

Good morning!!

We’re here getting ready for the day and going to be opening the doors at 10am today!

Please remember that Rt 6 (Farmington av) will be closed at Maple st with detours that go right by our little federal hill plaza. So stop in and grab something from any or all of us!

We also want to thank everyone for their kind words yesterday, they make a tough situation a little better.

Hi Everyone!

Today is Friday July 12, and it’s a hot one out there!! The bakery will be closed today so we can work on our weekend orders.

We also want to thank you all for the love and support you’ve shown us. We could have not made it as far as we have without you.

But, this part of our journey has to come to an end. The bakery will be closing mid August at the latest unfortunately. We know we made mistakes and missed opportunities on both the business side and on the social side. We were told if we didn’t support certain people in power we wouldn’t be treated equally by them. We heard from people that we were too vocal when it came to social issues, but that’s who we are and what we wanted to accomplish. It’s one thing to make good things but it’s another to do things that make this world better for everyone. We hope we made our community better even in some minuscule way. We are sorry that it affected our business but not sorry for trying to make our community more diverse and inclusive. We became the Black Sheep of the business flock, but we love to be different and stand out in a crowd!

As we move on we are reimagining our business model. The next chapter we will be focusing on subscription and gift box sales as well as small wholesale accounts.

So watch out for Black Sheep Baking Co. as we transition into the new us! Details will be coming out as they are finalized and in the meantime we will be open as much as possible for our farewell to Maple Street tour!

Welcome to the weekend-ish! I hope everyone is enjoying a long weekend this Fourth of July holiday!! Happy birthday America!!🎂🇺🇸🎆🎇

A special thanks to those who are making this holiday happen year after year by protecting our freedoms and liberties! Also, those who protect our lives and quality of life here domestically. So here’s a big thank you to those who don the uniform whether it’s scrubs or a badge, turnout gear to EMS pants and of course whatever dispatchers wear, we never see them lol, thank you for your bravery and resilience!

Today we are opening up at 3pm because we got in late from a trip New Hampshire to see family on the fourth and can’t count lol!! Come see us then for your favorites!!

Also a huge thank you to Edible Creations by Angie for Erika’s birthday cake!! It’s catastic!!!

Hi everyone!!

Welcome to Saturday!! In an unexpected turn of events we will be closed this morning because we have no staff today and a boatload of customers cake orders.

Tomorrow we will be back and loaded with your favorites like our PB bar, frosted brownie, cookies and cookie sandwiches, cupcakes, mousse cups, and croissants!!

Coming this week we hope to be able to share some news on what’s happening with the bakery, stay tuned!
