Heeeyooo, I knead to share this with you… Life is a never-ending adventure filled with twists and turns! Change is inevitable, it's the only constant in the universe ✨, and it’s up to us whether we resist it or make the most of it. Just like a loaf of bread that requires time, patience, and kneading to fully develop, we too must allow ourselves the space to grow and evolve into our best selves. Honestly, I would always rather be bak(ed/ing) than doing anything else. Whether is baking or baking 🍃✨ or both 🤙 it's where I find peace and solace. It helps me slow down, turn inward and express my creativity. Plus, at the end of it all, I get a little treat as a reward. When you find something you’re passionate about, it never feels like work. Baking is my passion, whether I’m working in a bakery or doing it at home. So, what would you rather be doing? Find your passion and pursue it!

Question: Did you feed your starter?

Hey there! If you plan on baking bread this weekend, you need to feed your starter tonight so that it’s ready for tomorrow. So, let's get it started! ✨

I’m starting a series called “Get Baked with the Baked Bearded Baker” to help you get your starter going. In this series, I’ll guide you through the process, the science, and the steps to get an at-home sourdough starter going. We’ll delve into the details of accessing the naturally occurring lactic acid bacteria called “lactobacillus” and learn how to use it to make beautiful bread. ✨

To get started, you’ll need a few items that you probably already have in your kitchen. Firstly, you’ll need a scale, which is the most important and underrated tool while baking. Seriously, invest in one! As a baker, I always measure out my ingredients. You’ll also need a measuring cup for the water, of course. I’m using all-purpose flour, but we’ll discuss the use of other flours and their benefits later in the series. Finally, you’ll need a container (or two, in my case, since I already have an active starter). A spatula (not pictured) to mix everything up is optional, you can get in there and use your hands! Once you have all those things comment "Lets get it started ✨" in the comments
