New year, new gig! ✨ I’m SO excited to share that I’m taking over management at Lagerhaus Bakery in Harmony!

The Lagerhaus Bakery is in the cutest bakery ever right in the heart of Harmony’s historic district. My partner’s extended family has owned it since 2017 and they recently asked me to take over for Sam’s cousin, Katie, since she’s got her hands full with three kiddos!

It was so hard to say goodbye to my bagel family at , which has become my home over the past 4 years. I owe so much of what I know to what I’ve learned there, and I feel ready to try hand at running things!

I’ll be taking all of my Marigold orders through Lagerhaus, as I am still going to be baking and decorating cakes here! We also have a few beautiful event spaces that are available to reserve with custom in-house catering!

For the next few weeks, I will be updating our website and working on some new items for the pastry case. I am just genuinely so excited for this new journey and can’t wait to keep building this business!!

Come out and visit Lagerhaus! We have a full espresso bar and lots of teas, perfect for cozying up on these cold winter days. 😌

hi everyone!! i just wanted to come on here & let y’all in on what’s brewing behind the scenes of marigold!

i have recently decided to focus on another (huge & exciting) project come the new year — this means that i am going to need to commit a lot more of my free time to planning, and currently, a lot of my free time is used to fulfill marigold orders since i still work full time!

so at this time, i am no longer taking new orders! i will spend the rest of october fulfilling any current orders and then i will take and “order hiatus” for the rest of the year.

i can’t wait to share with you what my new plans are!! i will be sharing all of my updates on this account and on the marigold website — stay tuned!!

also — i want to say a couple of huge THANK YOUs:
to anyone who has ordered this year. you have given me so many opportunities to be creative and figure out what my personal style is! all of your kind words have stuck with me & genuinely encourage me every day 💕

to .thompso for putting in such hard work in the planning/production of marigold and just overall being such a wonderful friend 🤎

and to jess & annie for letting me use the market space and being a huge support in my marigold journey 😌

although this era of the marigold bakery has seemed short, it’s been incredibly impactful for me. i’ve learned so much about running a small business & truly found a new passion for baking. i’ve gained so much more confidence in my abilities but know that there is still a lot to learn. it’s going to be a long journey, but one that i feel so lucky to be on!!

can’t wait to share more updates soon 😌

Meet the Marigold team!💐

Hi everyone!! My name is Emma, and I am so thrilled to be apart of The Marigold Bakery team. I have been baking ever since I can remember - some of my earliest memories are of being in the kitchen with my mom, Beth, and my grandmother, Marie. It was then that my love for baking started, and it all just grew from there.

I started working just under a year ago, and at the time was attending college to become a teacher. However, through my time at Beaver Bagel, and through discussions with Ashley, I realized I wanted to fulfill my dream of attending culinary school and becoming a pastry chef. I am currently going through the same program that Ashley did at Pittsburgh Technical College, and couldn’t be happier with my decision and the course that it has taken me on.

I have never said an easier “yes” than I did when earlier this year Ashley asked me to be a part of this business. I am so excited about everything we have in store for Marigold, and I cannot wait to share all of it with you guys! ☺️🥧💕

Meet the Marigold team! 💐

Hello! My name is Ashley and the Marigold Bakery is something I’ve had in the works for years now! While I was getting my business degree, I quickly realized that ai wanted to use it to help me start my own bakery. I’ve always had a love for baking (thanks to my wonderful mother ) and started to sell my baked goods with her help out of my childhood home in 2019.

I got my first pastry job a couple of years after, where I have been able to develop my skills and become more confident in my creativity. I always knew that I wanted to go to culinary school to become an “official”, well rounded pastry chef. So I went to Pittsburgh Technical College and obtained a certificate in baking & pastry in 2022!

Since then, I have been loving my job as the pastry manager at Beaver Bagel and waiting for the right time to continue on my Marigold Bakery journey. At the beginning of this year, I met up with my coworker & friend, Emma, and we decided that we would partner up and do whatever it takes to make Marigold happen!

It’s been a long time coming, and I am so excited to start making the pastries of my (and hopefully your) dreams!! ☺️🤎✨
