Why is it I didnā€™t remember them until Iā€™m sitting down telling yā€™all how awesome my hunting and gathering skills were.

Yes, Lord, be humble, got it.

Arenā€™t yā€™all glad you get see how my brain functions in real time. I blame all the recipes rolling around in here, but itā€™s probably a mix of song lyrics and phone numbers from the 90s that I donā€™t need anymore too.

Anywho, let me go make dinner and rest this brain, and stop typing before someone takes my phone way. Better yet, please come get this thing. Take it. Take it away.

Donā€™t forget we are closed this weekend to enjoy this time with family.
We come from a long line of military veterans and because of that we understand the sacrifices that this weekend represents.
Itā€™s because of those brave men and women we are able to enjoy weekends like these with our families.

Thank you to all our veterans but on Memorial weekend especially, we pause to give a special honor to our fallen military who paid the ultimate sacrifice for our freedoms.

God Bless the USA and God Bless our troops here and abroad.

As we roll into summer, things around our bakery tend to slow down a little ā€” and honestly, weā€™ve learned to embrace that season right along with the sunshine. ā˜€ļø

Summer around here means family time, little road trips, summer camps, home projects that have been waiting all year, and making the homemade fresh jams you all love so much. Itā€™s the season where we refill our cups a bit too.

One thing that makes this bakery a little different is that it isnā€™t a big commercial bakery with a full staff behind the scenes. Itā€™s just one ā€œyoungishā€ grandma over here baking from scratch, juggling flour, butter, family life, and about 47 tabs open in my brain at all times. šŸ˜‚

This little cottage bakery has always been built with intention ā€” slower, personal, homemade, and full of heart. That also means that occasionally throughout the summer we may close for a few days here and there to spend time with family and enjoy the season ourselves.

We WILL still be open throughout the summer and baking away ā€” just with a few extra pauses mixed in between the cookies, sticky buns, and jam jars.

Thank you all for continuing to support this sweet little dream of mine. Truly. Your support allows me to not only do what I love, but to build a life centered around the things that matter most: family, community, good food, and meaningful moments.

Now if youā€™ll excuse me, Iā€™ve got a toddler to chaseā€¦ Maverick where are you? šŸ˜…

Happy ā˜€ļøday! And what a pretty morning it is!! If you missed out this weekend now is your chance to grab some goodies.

There is a table out with assorted cupcakes, focaccia bread, blueberry muffins, scones, brownies, cookies, crumb cakes, and mini cakes (death by chocolate and chocolate covered banana)

There is list on ways to pay electronically and a jar for cash as well, call me if you have any questions or trouble.

Hi Shackies! Itā€™s been brought to my attention that there are A LOT of Sugar Shack pages on Facebook and across the country.
When I named my business I didnā€™t even think about this being a possibility. But we live and learn. However, I am the only Sugar Shack in Delaware.
So in hopes of helping you guys find me easier and to not get me confused with other pages in other states I have added the word - Delaware to my name on Facebook. I hope this helps.
Now when you search for me, please make sure it says The Sugar Shack - Delaware. And if you happen to catch another one in Delaware you come let me know. lol

Alright you weekend warriors, itā€™s time to wipe off the sleep from your eyes, the drool from the corner of your mouth, open the curtains and say HELLOOOOO to this gorgeous day ahead of us!
Put down that cellphone, pick up those car keys and cruise on over here and grab yourself a sticky bun, cinnamon roll, scone, or blueberry muffin for breakfast and some cupcakes and cookies for later on. And donā€™t forget a loaf of focaccia for that Sunday sauce.

Itā€™s going to be a glorious Saturday but why not make it even better with a lil sweet treat in your hand!!

Itā€™s Friday!! You know what that means - ITS BREAD DAY!! Something Iā€™ve been yelling for nearly four years on Fridays!

Itā€™s the day you all love the most- the day, those soft, sticky, gooey, sticky buns come rolling out to the shop!
And their icing covered friends - everyoneā€™s favorite- cinnamon rolls

Donā€™t forget we also have our delicious braided breads, braided with butter, everything bagel seasoning, or cinnamon sugar and raisins.

We also have grandmaā€™s nut roll, lots of cupcakes, cookies, brownies, muffins, crumb cakes, scones, oatmeal crĆØme pies, banana breads, and mini cakes.

Everything is made fresh from scratch, by one person, - me, and I donā€™t turn my oven on until Thursday morning, when I start cranking out all your weekly favorites.

If youā€™ve been wanting to check us out, or havenā€™t been in awhile, this a great week to visit, there is a large variety of goodies to sample.
