My brother and I realize just how lucky we are to have grown up knowing the rich traditions of our Italian grandmothers. We learned early on food wasn’t just something to eat. It was a deeply satisfying experience born of the finest, freshest ingredients and love. We named Emily Rose for our mother and grandmother, who brought those traditions to life for us. Our heart-felt mission is to help our

customers discover the tantalizing tastes born of generations-old Italian family traditions. When it comes to taste-testing, we aren’t just finicky, we’re fanatical. We source our menu-items from artisan producers who, not only adhere to time tested recipes and techniques, but have earned a reputation for excellence. You may not know the name Capogiro Gelato, for example. We, however, have met Daisy, KitKat and Maude, three of the grass-fed Scottish-Ayrshire cows who put the dream back into creamy at this Philadelphia based dairy. Not only does their handiwork taste far more luscious than most ice cream, it’s got half the fat and calories.
