As we look back on this past year, we realize how rarely we pause to reflect and share our journey. So here it is—our year in a nutshell!
👩🍳👨🍳 We’re Stephanie & Richard—a team of two. The bakers, accountants, content creators, popup faces, drivers, and everything in between. Every pastry you’ve enjoyed was born from countless 12-hour shifts: mix, shape, proof, bake—on repeat. Those relentless days often ended with a well-earned midnight dinner, some of our fondest memories.
🍰 This year, we sent out over 2,500 orders and 15,000 pastries. From everyday cravings to our biggest catering event ever—2,000 pastries for 600 guests (with family flying in to help)—we poured our hearts into it all. Every bake, every delivery was a step forward, and the leaps we made in skill and quality remind us that practice really does make perfect.
📰 2024 also brought us features in SF Gate and Eater—a dream come true! Along the way, we met so many wonderful new faces. Creating content has become a passion in itself, and we’re proud of the strides we’ve made—investing in the right gear and constantly honing our craft to share our story with you.
🎉 We capped off the year with new Basque flavors every week, a project fueled by nothing but love for what we do. And yes, we’ve done it all while holding down full-time jobs to keep the dream alive.
2025 is calling, and here’s what’s ahead:
🌟 We’re taking a bold step and putting down roots in Brentwood! This marks a departure from our pastry-focused past, but we’ll stay true to the creative flavors you’ve come to love. This dream is being built with our life savings—it’s unbelievably risky, and the odds are tough (9 out of 10 food businesses don’t make it past their first year). But we’re all in. 💪
Here’s to chasing bigger dreams, embracing bigger challenges, and creating even sweeter moments together. Thank you for believing in us—we can’t wait to share what’s next. 🥂💛
