Ok buckle in, long post 😅 also im tired and im sure my dyslexia is on full display 👌
I have been seeing these absolutely gorgeous buttercream canvas cakes going around by talented cakers all over. Naturally my brain went "what if I made it look like a real canvas and painted it with edible paints?" So here we are 🤷🏻♀️
I did use a deep canvas frame i found and covered it in foil tape making it food safe. Texturing was... well fun trying to figure out. I painted it with Sugarprism Brand Sugar Art Products
after finishing the sky I realized I hated it, wiped most of it off and started over which is why it looks different at the end.
If youre a romantasy reader then you probably know what this is a painting of or at least I hope you can't tell 😬🤔🫠 I've been following along watching Logan Reads read through the series on tiktok and its honestly made me fall in love with the series all over again. Him talking to his wife about it and her not giving up any spoilers is hilarious. I can't tell you how many videos I've sent my husband. Its very reminiscent of when he read through them. So I just have to give it to them for bring that joy to my day.
