It is with very mixed emotions that I have an announcement to make. The Lord has worked it out for me to be offered an assistant teaching position. I have been praying and thinking about this for over a year now. As many of you know, I homeschooled our girls through all of their grade school years, which came out to be 15 years. When Anna graduated in 2024 and moved to college with her sister, I was offered the position to teach then, but I needed some time to get used to this new position and empty nest I all the sudden found myself in. I didn’t want to just jump into something else. But I did get to go and substitute for a little bit. Now that it has been over a year, the Lord has opened the door and I have decided that it is time. The sad part though, is that some of my health issues have made it so that I am just not able to keep baking cakes like I have been. At least not big extravagant ones. This was also another reason that helped me make this decision. I needed something that would help me to be able to have normal hours and not keep me up pulling all-nighters for days at a time and give my feet a break. Anyway, so it’s with a heavy heart that I am having to cut back on my cake business. Number one, I won’t have time to commit to it like I have been, and number two, my health demands it. I hate to lose customers that have been so faithful to me in the last 5 years, but I want you all to know that I appreciate all the support and encouragement I have gotten from you all. I’m not closing my business entirely, but I am having to trim my menu way down. I will still be able to do simple specialty cakes every now and then, but not extravagant decorated themed cakes. So if you just want a chocolate, red velvet, carrot, or any regular flavored cake to enjoy, I’ll still be here for those!☺️ But once again, I do want to say thank you for all the support and love I have gotten from you all in the last 5 years. I really appreciate it, and thank you for your understanding.

So this cake was done back in March for my daddy’s 90th birthday. I should have posted it then, but I didn’t, so here we are.🤷🏼‍♀️😁 I love my daddy with all my heart and am so very, very proud of him! So I was especially excited to get to do this for him. We had him a big party to celebrate. And I had the privilege to get to make his cake. The cake tells many stories of my daddy’s life. I could only fit so many pics on it though, so it was hard to choose through so many. But there is a story behind one. The picture of my daddy and I coming in the door at my wedding. We were waiting at the back door to go in. All the bridesmaids and everyone had gone in. And all the sudden I realized my veil was not down! I was like, “Daddy, my veil!!” So he hurriedly helped me pull it down over my face. I’m so glad those door didn’t open to me and daddy fighting that thing to get it down.😂 We were able to get it in time. And I know it may sound simple and silly to some, but that has always been a fond memory to me of that day. The last thing my daddy did for me before giving me away to my love.🥹🥰

Some chocolate covered strawberries I did for a girl turning 18.🍓They were supposed to be in a smaller number shaped box, but amazon messed me up and sent me the wrong number twice.🤦🏼‍♀️ So I ran out of time to get the right number and just had to do what I could.🤷🏼‍♀️
