40th anniversary cake. The 4 is a German chocolate cake filled with my grandmother’s secret recipe, and the 0 is a vanilla cake filled with chantilly cream. Both cakes were topped with 8 ruby roses. 8 kids, and ruby for the official color of a 40th anniversary. Accompanied by 6 rosettes to signify the grandchildren.
