Artful Cakes & Bakes follows the US Copyright and Trademark laws. my cakes, buttercreams, and other goods are made from scratch to order, and use real butter and real vanilla. My cakes are heavier and richer, not light and airy, so please keep that in mind when ordering. So how much should you expect to pay? Due to the nature of my work, most prices are given on a case by case basis, but I do have a minimum custom requirement of $50. I LOVE decorating cakes, and I LOVE seeing your inspiration photos. Please remember that’s exactly what they are, inspiration. No two artists, and no two bakers will ever be exactly alike, so a photo copy finish is not something I can promise. What I can promise is a beautiful, one of a kind cake just for you.

Hey guys, every year I like to do a big ‘end of year cleaning’…. This year I’m attempting to go through our storage container.

I have maybe just a few more cake decorating things, mostly molds, I think, that I’m getting rid of, and tons and tons of paper things, packaging, and misc stuff like that— hundreds of dollars of things I’ve collected.

I’ll be selling it cheap to take it all, so if you know anyone getting started, or just wants supplies… let them know. Shoot me a message, we’ll work something out.

Good morning! While I’m not offering any decorated cookies this Halloween, I am working on tons of sourdough drop cookies for all your fun Halloween parties and get-togethers!

Some favorites are: sugar, spiced molasses, snickerdoodle, chocolate chip, monster, hot chocolate, peanut butter, peanut butter cup, and chocolate chip peanut butter cup.

Sourdough drop cookies are made with my sourdough starter and slightly reduced sugar content. They’re still a cookie at the end of day, but ‘not as bad as they could be’ 😉

Gooooood morning! I will be regularly offering sourdough drop cookies for the rest of this year.

I will be using all dye-free coloring and sprinkles from now on. I’ll offer up new flavors and maybe some Halloween cookie cakes as I make them.

Drop cookies are $10/dzn, minimum 2 dozen order. Pickup is preferable in Braggs, but I find myself in Fort Gibson and Muskogee regularly, so I can try and work out pickup times and days with you.

My close friends and family know that I’ve pretty well closed the door on my little business, but I am making it official.

I don’t get enough orders in for how much time and energy I was putting into this. The market has been over saturated with other brilliant and cheaper cake decorators than me since covid.

Some of you know, we just moved back to Braggs, and are setting up a small homestead for ourselves. Our property needs a lot of work, I need to focus on adding new animals and a garden, and I cook and bake wayyyy more, not to mention homeschooling my kids, grades 3, 6, and 8, is taking a lot more effort on my part.

I just don’t have the time or space, and I’ve lost my joy for this art form.

So it’s time. This beautiful custom cake chapter of my life is closed… for now.

We’ll see what the future brings.

Today we celebrated by daughter’s 8th birthday! She was so all over the place with what she wanted, and it changed every other day. There was a wolf, but he was eaten by own near-wolf-like creature.

The gelatin is a blue raspberry Mountain Dew, and through much trial and error, have learned that no matter how you color chocolate, it will leak out.

Also, this cake is totally dye-free, using only food based colored powders!

As our family enters a new chapter of life, our main focus is shifting to homesteading and becoming self-efficient.

Moving forward, I will only be taking custom-made orders from now on; I will no longer be putting in the time for seasonal packages, or attending farmer’s markets.

Artful Cakes & Bakes does a little bit of everything! Custom cakes, cookies, cupcakes, and cake pops, as well as confections, breads, and sourdough items, and I can do just about any flavor or filling!
