I’m definitely still learning how to do cakes, but when a friend asked me to make a couple graduation cakes, I couldn’t say no!

They wanted white and black with a minimal-ish vintage style piping and black bows. The graduate wanted “TONS of cake” hence the 2 cakes. Similar but not the exact same design 😉

The cakes are 8”, 3 layer chocolate cake with chocolate frosting and chocolate ganache filling. I’m actually super jealous, it looked and smelled SO good!!!!

I’ve loved getting to be a small part in so many of your big moments, thanks for sharing your joy with me 🩷

I’ve loved baking since I was little, sitting on the kitchen island to reach… I believe ‘little Emily’ would think it’s pretty cool what we’re doing today 🥹

Dark chocolate salted caramel 🖤🧡
For those of you who didn’t know already…. I’m a bit of a nerd.
This month’s cookbook club theme was “Cozy Hobbit” so naturally I was VERY excited 😆 it got my creative side working and I ended up hand painting gold details on my macarons.
We used a lot of recipes along with a few others and ended up with an incredible spread!
Roasted tomato and burrata, frozen lemonade, lavender basil lemonade, potato, leek, and white bean soup, cider apple cinnamon rolls with brown butter frosting, chicken and mushroom pot pie, spiced pear salad, croissant breakfast casserole with bacon, savory Dutch baby with tomatoes, sausage, and bacon, lavender lembas bread, raspberry and apple tart, hazelnut meringue cake with strawberries and cream, dark chocolate salted caramel macarons, and lavender shortbread cookies.

Everything I tried was incredible!! It was such a fun night of good food and good friends. I highly recommend finding a cookbook club group!
