My mother Ella who recently passed away at nearly 97 years of age, was and still is the inspiration behind my passion for food, wine and farming for over 30 years. Growing up we bonded over her childhood memories about food, her French mother and grandmother, watching Julia Child and working together at her gourmet kitchen store. I especially loved creating dishes together, like the Apple Galette in this picture. Her lessons about perseverance, gratitude and working with what you have, continue to inspire me especially during these challenging times. On Mother's Day and every day, I feel blessed with being able to call her My Mom❣️
