📚✨THE $0 BOOK FAIR IS COMING✨📚

Remember Book Fair Day?

The little paper flyer. Circling everything you wanted. The books. The posters. The sparkly pens. The ridiculous erasers. The notebooks you absolutely DID NOT NEED but somehow desperately needed. 😂

We remember something else, too.

We remember being the kid who knew not to circle too much.

The kid whose parents simply couldn't afford the extras that week.

The kid watching classmates come back with bags full of treasures while you didn't get anything.

So we're doing Book Fair Day a little differently around here.

❤️ Welcome to The Neighbors' $0 Book Fair.

Books? $0.
Stickers? $0.
Pens and pencils? $0.
Notebooks and journals? $0.
Bookmarks? $0.
Erasers, art supplies and all those weird little treasures kids inexplicably lose their minds over?

$0.

We want the WHOLE experience.

We're even making old-school Book Fair flyers so kiddos can circle what they're hoping to find. They'll get to come in, shop the tables, pick their own things and take their treasures to our checkout.

And their total?

$0.00.

No applications.
No explaining your circumstances.
No proving you need help.

Every kid is invited.

Because sometimes families have plenty. Sometimes things are tight. And sometimes a kid just really wants the sparkly gel pen.

They shouldn't have to know the difference ❤️

And here's the part that makes us the most emotional:

We can do this because of you, Rossford.

Every person who has dropped a few dollars into a donation jar. Every person who has paid for a child's book. Every person who has walked in carrying a stack of books from home. Every local business that has offered to help. Every person who has shared our posts, walked through our doors, bought a cup of coffee, or simply believed in what we're trying to build here.

You did this.

Your generosity has turned this little coffee shop and bookstore into something so much bigger than we ever imagined. And now we get to take all of that kindness you've poured into us and pour it right back into the kids in our community.

The $0 Book Fair belongs to Rossford.

It's neighbors taking care of neighbors. It's making sure no kid has to stand on the sidelines on Book Fair Day. And it's proof of what can happen when an entire community decides to show up for its kids.

We're just lucky enough to have a place where all of that kindness can land. ❤️

We're going to need our neighborhood's help to pull this one off, so we'll be sharing ways for individuals and local businesses to donate books, supplies, goodies or sponsor parts of the fair very soon.

Our goal is simple:

Give these kiddos the most ridiculously magical Book Fair Day we possibly can.

Okay, Rossford. 🥹💛 Today is one of those days that reminds us exactly why we call this place The Neighbors.

Some incredibly sweet lady came in and paid for 50 kiddos to come get a book FOR FREE in honor of Dolly and everything she stood for 📚✨ so bring your kiddos by!

And then…the pay it forwards started.

One person bought for the next. Then they bought for the next. And the next. We lost count somewhere around 25 PAY IT FORWARDS IN A ROW 😭

So we’ve decided we want to keep that kindness going.

Whatever we collect today in honor of Dolly, The Neighbors is going to MATCH IT. 💛

Because a woman who spent her life putting books into the hands of children deserves to be celebrated by putting even more books into the hands of children.

Today wasn’t really about coffee. It wasn’t even really about Dolly.

It was about neighbors taking care of neighbors.

And holy cow, do we love this little town 🥹📚☕️

Do good. Be kind. Read books. Love thy neighbor. 💛

Hey friends! 🤎

Just a reminder that the farmstand will be closed next week, so tomorrow is your chance to stop by and grab some Wild Harvest goodies!

We’ll be out starting at 11 AM until sold out. It’s supposed to be hot, so I’ll have the whoopie pies, apple streusel bars, and brown butter pumpkin crumb cake in the cooler. They’re honestly really good cold, so no complaints there 😂☀️🤎

We also have a really good fall section this week with lots of cozy goodies.

If you placed a pre-order, there will be a table next to the farmstand where you can pick it up! 🤎

A Little Something New at the Farm Stand 🤍

I’ve been wanting to do something a little different at the farm stand—something that goes beyond bread and baked goods and creates a little space for our community to feel cared for.

Starting this week, I’ll have a Prayer Request Box at the stand. 🤍

If you or someone you love is going through a difficult season, feeling overwhelmed, needing guidance, celebrating something beautiful, or simply has something on their heart that they’d like prayer over, I would be honored to pray for you.

You can write your request on one of the cards provided and place it in the box. You do not have to include your name, and your request will remain private. No request is too big or too small.

Each week, I’ll take the requests home and spend time praying over each one. My hope is that this can become a small reminder that even when life feels heavy, you don’t have to carry it alone.

This little farm stand has become so much more than I ever imagined, and I’m incredibly grateful for every person who stops by, supports my small business, and allows me to be a small part of your lives.

So if there’s something on your heart this week, leave it in the box. I’ll pray over it. 🤍
