Working on it! My body is sore but my heart is happy. So very grateful for this lovely weather. God has blessed me so.
Getting the garden ready to open for breakfast and lunch in my garden. Been to see my good friend, Esl Pelly, at the Garden Patch in Smiths Grove twice to buy lots and lots of flowers. Now have planted all around the house and today headed out into the garden. I don’t want to show you pics of what I’ve done so far so it will all be a surprise when you get here! Will keep you updated for the opening date. Won’t be long now! Start gathering your friends together. Reservations have already started pouring in. Stay tuned! Saturday is market day! We will now only be at the market on Saturday as we prepare to open the garden. Last Saturday was a HIT! Our BLT with pimento cheese and hot pepper jelly with the larger than life tomato 🍅 slice went like gang-busters. A to die for sandwich with so much flavor. Everyone enjoyed sampling our amazing energy fruit tea and lavender lemonade. Our standbys still held their own, jumbo 1/4 lb all beef hot dogs and chicken salad croissants are a sought after staple. See for yourself at the farmers market this Saturday. Oh my! How could I forget Lemon Blueberry three layer cake and Lemon Lavender Shortbread cookies! See, told ‘ya! Come to the big yellow food truck 8-2. You’ll be glad you did!

Okay ladies, you have spoken and we are listening!!!! While we have enjoyed Tuesday and Thursday at the farmers market, business has not been quite what we had hoped for. There simply is not much traffic during the week and most of the vendors work elsewhere and only set up on Saturdays. We do get our share of the sales, but our customers keep asking if we are going to open the garden this year. Saturday business is wonderful at the market and we will always be there on Saturday. So ladies, I have heard you!

Once I can finish my shade garden,
I WILL reopen the garden for breakfast and lunches on Tuesday and Thursday. More on that info to come soon.
I still need to plant some flowers and decorate the garden. Just give me a week or so, depending on the rain and we will begin serving breakfast while is cool and lunch until about 1:00 before the heat of the day.
I have missed all of you so much that I think of you as friends. Many ladies say they didn’t get to come last time when their
friends came and heard such good things about it. We do well at the market, but there simply is no place to sit and relax.
I have always been a people person who lives to serve and honor the keeper of my soul, Jesus Christ. So with that, I choose to honor Him by serving you.
On a personal note, I work to keep two families alive, so I need your help to spread the word.

New Sandwich for the month of June!
Available on Saturdays. People who visited our garden for the past two years will remember our famous BLT. We serve crisp bacon on artisan brioche bread and top it with leaf lettuce and a thick slice of juicy red tomato large enough to cover the entire sandwich. Then on one side we add our homemade pimento cheese and on the other side we spread hot pepper jelly that is both sweet and savory. No taste like it. Hurry, come and see us this and every Saturday during June. You can call ahead if you like 270-791-6527 and order. It’s JUNE and our focus for June is on
BLUEBERRIES and LEMONS! And for summer LAVENDER!
This Saturday is also TASTE TESTING for our new drink “LAVENDER LEMONADE”
Each month we will offer an added sandwich, but only on Saturday. My next post today will showcase that sandwich.

Our menu will include fresh muffins
Chicken Salad, All beef 1/4 lb hot dogs,
Pasta Salad and Chips.
Plus our delicious Southern Fruit Tea and sweet and unsweet tea.
