Gotta represent: Wakanda Forever! This Black Panther mask was sculpted with Rice Krispies treats. I love working with this medium as it's edible and provides a stable base/foundation for 3D structures. And they'll store indefinitely if you can't bring yourself to cut the artwork ;)

This 60th birthday creation celebrated the recipient's various life events that included a hand-cut representation of her childhood home, and so many other nods to educational institutions, city attractions where she lived, and her sorority. Her wonderful hubby worked closely with me to collect all the images and collaborate on the design. Milestone cakes always touch the person being celebrated in such a deep and personal way and it's always an honor to be a part of the process that helps bring each vision to life.

Our client celebrated 70 years with a Red Hatter theme. The focal cake is an elegant red hat that's a replica of the recipient's favorite headpiece. Our kitchen was flooded with cupcakes all adorned with a hand-crafted red hat! Special thanks to Devin H for her help, handiwork and creativity with designing all those hats--remarkable attention to detail. And thanks to our studio's matriarch and my mom, Joyce, for her sugar flower expertise.

This client (also our lovely daughter, Danae) asked me to do a hand-painted cake for her sorority chapter's 1st AKAversary. The inspiration was based on a popular painting done by one of their own.

Young people are such fun to work with! My 13 year old client knew exactly what she wanted and designed her own cake down to the last detail. It was a joy to bring her vision to life! Sharing a quick peek at what goes into a hand-painted design. Cakes are special and this one in particular is a true celebration of the recipient who is an extraordinary artist. This cake features a few of her signature pieces compiled with grabs of her inspiration artist, Gustav Klimt. Such a joy and privilege to celebrate her milestone birthday and work.
