From freezer to room temperature… a cake will most likely “sweat” (which just means condensation) from the temperature change. It makes it harder to decorate, but luckily… it still tastes just as good!

Hey y’all!

Little known fact: I used to live in Montgomery County 😏… my 9th grade year I went to 3 different high schools (a story for another time) 😬, but the first school I went to was in “mo co” and was called Seneca Valley High School… these were the exact school colors. When I look at these cupcakes I literally think about my time Seneca Valley.

These cupcakes were for a graduation party…. Wish I would have asked which school it was 🤷🏾‍♀️

Talk about a throwback! Since it’s Thursday, I think it’s time to throwback to some of my all time favorites.

I remember this was a chocolate cake for 25th birthday! I remember really enjoying trying this technique and I haven’t made a cake like it until recently when I used it as inspiration for another birthday cake (I’ll share it next!).

I think every baker has favorite parts of their process, for me it’s dreaming up the design, having fun with flavors, and definitely decorating 🤗. Least favorite is the dishes 😵‍💫

This was the first wedding cake of the year… back in February or March, it’s been awhile 😬.

The top tier was caramel chocolate cake and the bottom tier was my strawberries and cream cake! 🤤

A lot of people talk about wedding cake pricing being so much more, but that’s because wedding cakes usually come with a lot of pressure attached to them and usually more detail. You never wanna be the reason someone looks back on that day and says “it was almost perfect, expect the cake etc etc”… The pressure is up there! Especially when the entrance for the venue is confusing and you were frantically trying to find it 😮‍💨😫

This client was super sweet and made the process easier… I’m grateful for that!
