You deserve a cookie.

Ellie & Ash was founded on the simple principal that everyone deserves a cookie. Cookies should be soft and delicious. Cookies should be made with real, natural ingredients. Ellie & Ash use food allergies such as Gluten, Dairy, Nuts and Soy as opportunities to invent delicious flavor combinations.

It started in 2009 when Elyse Tatreau and Ashley Phippard met while working at a bakery outside of Boston, Massachusetts. In the tight confines of a busy retail kitchen, the two pastry chefs began having lots of fun baking together. What connected them was their passion for cookies. Ashley had recently perfected her recipe for what has become our signature sugar cookies with royal icing while Elyse began applying her artistic hand to the decorating.

Soon they were being asked to help friends and family mark personal milestones with their unique and delicious cookies. Within months word of mouth began to spread across Massachusetts with the rise of social media. Within a few years the two were expanding to local markets and making custom sugar cookies for local sports teams, businesses, and large special events.

As their little business began to flourish, Elyse's personal battle with Crohn's disease became more difficult. Fighting this incurable intestinal disease became like a full time job for Elyse, and reluctantly, she had to step away from the business she shared with her best friend.
