Lauren & Susan grew up in Weston with their parents Alan & Ann, their older brother Scott, and puppy Cooky. After college, Lauren went on to work in the Field of Education first as a teacher and then developed into a Director of Special Education; Susan entered the world of sports and fashion as a manager at Jordan Marsh and ultimately became a Global Product Operations Manager at Puma. In 2016 La

uren came up with the brainchild of QUICKSILVER BAKING COMPANY, and entered the Master of Liberal Arts in Gastronomy at Boston University’s Metropolitan College (MET) to hone her already great baking skills. This program was founded in 1991 by culinary legends Julia Child and Jacques Pépin and was an AMAZING experience! Our new endeavor QUICKSILVER BAKING COMPANY honors our Mom (and family), showcasing family photos on our package spanning 40 years (1930-1970), and features one of our mom's favorite and special recipes her RUGELACH! We are currently focusing on her RUGELACH, which is a cream cheese/ sour cream based dough and traditionally sweet. We are taking A Twist on An Old World Favorite and producing savory rugelach, sold frozen to be baked off at home. Our boxes hold 18 pieces, and our three savory flavors are: Kalamata Olive Tapenade & Walnut, Caramelized Onion/ Blue Cheese/ Walnut, and Jalapeño/ Cheddar. Not to fear.... we will also be selling 'Mom's Original Recipe' in a mixed box of the traditional flavors: Cinnamon Sugar & Walnut, Apricot & Walnut, and Raspberry & Walnut. Why name the company QUICKSILVER BAKING CO.? Growing up in Manchester NH, Ann Silver was never on time... As an adult, neither was Ann Fain! When Ann was little, her friends nicknamed her 'quicksilver' and told her to be places 10-30 minutes earlier than scheduled so she'd be where she was supposed to be on time. Our home was the center for many meals, holidays, and celebrations, and of course family and friends had their own 'Aunt Ann favorite' that they hoped would make an appearance on each occasion. Our Rugelach, Savory and Sweet are perfect for a Party, A get-together, Football Sunday, Brunch, or just when you need something really delicious! We hope you enjoy it as much as our family does!
