Leo's Bakery

Leo's Bakery Make life simpler to enjoy. We encourage everyone to "grow, make, buy, local" Inspired to bake fresh without anything artificial. Source what we can locally.

Celebrate the beauty of traditional technique while we joyfully experiment with its application and make available to everyone what was once accessible to a few. We hope to remind you how wonderful, great pastry, can be and make you smile with each bite. Though many things have changed since 1952, our success is still measured one smile at a time.

Happy Thanksgiving!

A season for thanks and pie. Thanksgiving is one of our favorite times of the year. Bakers all across the country are busy preparing endless flavors of sweet and savory pie enjoyed by friends, families and loved ones who share a meal celebrating the years's harvest.

Leo's will be baking over 10,000 pies this season. The air is perfumed with the intoxicating aromas of fruits, nuts and spices in preparation for baking pies right before Thanksgiving. Empty pie shells (pictured) will be filled with apples, blueberries, pecans, pumpkin and candied sweet potato, baked to sublime perfection.

As each pie finds itself a table this Thanksgiving, the long days and nights are rewarded, we hope, by smiles from tasting something truly special. It's amazing how something so simple can bring so much joy. We are lucky to bake for wonderful organizations who remember us all and bring cheer to those who need a smile. It's encouraging to see so many wonderful people dedicate time to help us in this effort. Each year more and more volunteers come to 60 Old Colony to help every Thanksgiving.

Leo's closes two days for Thanksgiving and we leave our work family to spend time with loved ones (also get some much needed rest). Whether you're traveling or hosting, please share pie, give thanks and remember those who may not have a full table and loved ones to spend time with this holiday.

Thank you all for your support and have a happy and safe Thanksgiving.

A gift box of croissants for friends. What a great start to the day, croissants and coffee! Yes they are as good as any in France and we do make them entirely from scratch with local butter, eggs and milk. There's a rumor starting that Leo's is opening a store in Boston (pass it on :))
