🍄How Yours Truly started & why I kept it going🍄
I started this earlier this year, I was busy with school and only worked part time job. I bake for fun, so I figured, why not sell on the weekends to make some extra income. But truly, the first 1-2 months, I was losing money more than I was actually earning money🥺 I would also lower my prices and make so many changes just so I can sell. But, because I ended up loving this, I still kept going
By the 3rd month, I became more aggressive when it came to gaining customers attention. I started posting more, reaching out to everyone, coworkers, neighbors, friends, even people I didn't know. I joined communities and groups and posted all my desserts💪🏼
Soon later, I started getting more orders😱 People were starting to spread our name and giving lots of feedbacks. I went from getting 1-5 orders per month to now getting 20-30 orders per week. People from Bay Area, Sacramento, San Francisco, Central Valley area started messaging us and ordering from us. It was so exciting and despite being exhausted, it's always the good kind of exhausted🥴
Through this I learned the importance of perseverance🙆🏻♀️ I've always been a persistent person who has Plan A through Z when it comes to having my life together. But with this business, I learned how important it really is to keep going and to believe in you're dreams and goals. It's important to follow and support businesses. But it's also‼️VERY IMPORTANT to believe in yourself and in what you can do. Start something and LEAD‼️
I'm terrified to move across the country and start over.. But, hey, I started from scratch in here, so why not over there?
🤍I'm posting this to tell you. Whatever you decide to do, make sure its somethinf that makes your soul feel alive. And do it with allbyour heart. Because, the end result..? I can't even put into words how happy and alive it will make you feel🤍
