Today we had an order for a lovely cake for a 22nd birthday along with some extras.

It has been a busy several days. So let’s do some backtracking. I had several things to get done for this past Saturday. One of them was these cute chocolate covered Oreos.

Another great first try for this style of cake balls. About the amount of cake and icing that would be in a cupcake but coated in chocolate. Great for parties.

New items I have been working on. It is a Cake Sandwhich. This is a large one, about the size of a reference book in a library.

But it is for those that are not big icing fans. The icing is between two layers of light cake and the cake has the design built into it.

I have also done some that were the size of a slice of bread and then cut them into triangles.

They can be filled with butter cream or whip cream icing. Very yummy. Been told 10 out of 10 by the taste testing crew.

Had a very last minute gender reveal cake request. Hope the mom and dad enjoyed and best wishes to the little bundle in the way.

The cake was a colored vanilla with a vanilla bean whip cream icing. The baby and blankets were made from molding chocolate.
