A double batch of sugar cookies in under one minute. Too bad that’s not reality. These sweet treats will be cut into bite-size squares and used as a base for my award-winning banana pudding. How sweet it is!

These sourdough discard banana muffins are soft, moist, and packed with banana flavor.

And that little crunch on top? Brown sugar crystals that bake into the most delicious sweet, slightly crispy topping.

This is one of my favorite ways to use up ripe bananas AND put my sourdough discard to work.

Now the hardest part… waiting for them to cool before I eat one.

Perfect timing on that Temu delivery! Door cover in place and the fridge is D.O.N.E.

Sometimes the bake room projects have absolutely nothing to do with baking.

I picked up this Coca-Cola cooler because it gives me some much-needed extra cold storage. It works great…but that bright red Coca-Cola side wasn’t exactly fitting the look I wanted.

So, $20 worth of adhesive wallpaper later…

HELLO, GLOW UP.

Is it perfect? Nope.
Did I have any idea what I was doing when I started? Also nope.
Did I stand back afterward feeling ridiculously proud of myself? Absolutely.

One more little project checked off the list as I continue turning this space into the Side Hustle Sweets bake room I’ve been picturing in my head.

That red was RED.

Bad mood. Good scones.

Sometimes that’s the whole treatment plan.

Freshly baked, buttery, slightly sweet, and doing their absolute best to fix my attitude.

So far… the scones are winning.

I’m not a cake decorator. I’m a cake baker.

There’s a difference.

I’m here for the homemade layers, real ingredients, from-scratch frosting, and the kind of cake that makes you go back for “just one more little piece.”

Will it look like it belongs in a cake decorating competition? Probably not.

Will it taste like somebody’s grandma knew exactly what she was doing?

That’s the goal.

Pretty is nice. But around here, flavor gets top billing.

Side Hustle Sweets — homemade first, always.

Doctor follow-up appointment today… and you know I’m not showing up empty-handed.

Someone is getting cookies!

Because apparently my love language is baked goods—and I fully believe cookies improve the quality of medical care.

Side Hustle Sweets: making appointments a little sweeter, one bag at a time.

Me, patiently waiting on your order like…

I’ve got the butter.
I’ve got the sugar.
The oven is ready.
The mixer is standing by.

All I’m missing is your order.

Don’t leave me hanging. Side Hustle Sweets is ready when you are.

There are two kinds of bakers:

Those who can scoop cocoa powder neatly into a bowl…

And me.

Counter? Cocoa.
Floor? Cocoa.
Apron? Cocoa.
Somehow on the other side of the kitchen? Also cocoa.

I swear I measure it carefully. But the second that mixer turns on, cocoa powder chooses violence.

The good news? The mess usually means something chocolate is coming.

Please tell me I’m not the only one who does this.

Homemade means HANDS-ON.

Every batch is mixed, scooped, rolled, shaped, baked, cooled, and packaged by hand.

No assembly line.
No mass production.
Just a whole lot of butter, flour, love…and my (very clean!) hands in pretty much every step of the process.

That’s the difference when you order homemade. You’re not just getting cookies—you’re getting something that was made for you, one batch at a time.

Fresh. Homemade. Hands-on.

Ready for your next batch? Order from Side Hustle Sweets!
