Learning to walk backwards was scary but my therapist is amazing and I trust her! Yay for progress! Thank you again so much for all of your continued love and support😎🤩💗

Day 5 at Elks Rehab still making progress every day! Looks like I should be going home on my birthday, February 8,2022!!!!
The brightness hurts my head so I wear sunglasses 🕶 to look out the window!!!

💞 update 💞
Today was officially my second day at rehab it was full of our long evaluations by speech therapy occupational therapy and physical therapy and I am really proud of myself I walked 88 feet during physical therapy with the help of my incredible therapist and some tools that she implemented for me I am using a walker and a wheelchair right now but she anticipates that I will go home with just a cane! My swallowing is getting stronger I just have to retrain those muscles and relearn kind of how to do it because of where the tumor was sitting and tomorrow I get to take a shower with the assistance of my occupational therapist so I’m very excited about that right now my hair is super greasy because I had a 48 hour EEG study and we had to use the coconut oil to get all the glue out of my hair and scalp. Thank you for your continued love and prayers and support it really does mean so much 🥰 I’m so grateful that I am getting stronger every day and that I have this amazing facility to help me relearn things!

The surgery was successful and they did it in under 6 hours. She's been in and out of consciousness and in some pain but moving around. Her right side has been affected and she can't use it very much. They are recommending she go to a rehab facility to continue therapies after she’s done here. It could take a couple weeks or up to four weeks.
We don’t know how long she’ll be there but she’s gonna need three or so hours a day of intensive work and they thinks it’s best if she continues it at a facility.

Worked with speech therapist for her difficulty she is having swallowing. She is on an all liquid nectar thickened diet for now.

Good news is the meningioma is gone. And she is grateful to be on this side of recovery! It's just a different road ahead.
