Most of our breads are baked with just flour, water, natural starters, & salt.

Friends have asked "What's going on with PureBread Bakehouse??Are you still baking?" I've been answering that I haven't advertised in a while and have been baking on request (bread or bagels for dog show friends, etc.) and have been taking care of ME. So now you all know what "taking care of ME" has meant!

I'm ready to start baking bread again but not bagels since my Kitchen Aid mixer of less than 3 years has failed. I'm in the process of deciding about a new mixer but "knead" some help from you all!

How many of you want bread and or bagels regularly again?? If I buy a larger capacity mixer I need to know it will be worth it!

In the meantime, I'm baking some bread this week...probably plain Sourdough, Olive Rosemary. and Cranberry Walnut. Who's interested??

Things were a bit quiet here because we've been away at dog shows but we're home for a few weeks and are still baking!

We've updated the menu with a lower price on the Breakfast Breads and have added crumpets! I've posted the new menu here to inspire you!

Please remember that we bake to order and require a 24-hour notice. We're ready to take your orders for next week!!

Our baking schedule is filled for this week but we're open for next week's orders!

Remember that in addition to our regular offerings we're featuring seasonal specialties:
PUMPKIN PECAN WITH CRANBERRIES - pumpkin puree in our sourdough base, fragrant with cinnamon, nutmeg, & allspice, with toasted pecans and dried cranberries soaked in orange juice. It's been a hit so far! ($8.00 each)
CRANBERRY-PECAN HARVEST BUNS - a little molasses & cinnamon added to our sourdough base with dried cranberries & toasted pecans, then sprinkled with oats before baking ($7.00 half dozen; $12.00 dozen)
HARVEST BREAKFAST BREAD - actually available all year but especially good in the fall! White flour with a bit of whole wheat for earthiness. Dried cranberries cherries, blueberries, & apricots soaked with vanilla, cinnamon, and a little sugar before adding to the dough along with toasted walnuts & pecans. Always popular!

"Handmade & Natural"! That what everything baked at PureBread Bakehouse is! Made by hand and with natural ingredients.

Here are 3 P.O.S. Sourdoughs fresh from the oven. They're all the same weight but look just a little different because I shape them by hand, not by machine. I do everything that way so sometimes an edge doesn't quite bake perfectly. But that's the way "handmade & natural" is!

The way I bake takes time because it's just me here in the Bakehouse. Most of you already know that but we have some new friends! I love that you all appreciate the time and effort that I take to bake breads, rolls, bagels, English muffins and other specialties for you!

Remember that even if one of my handmade products doesn't LOOK perfect, it will always TASTE perfect!

Happy Tuesday, everyone! You know PureBread Bakehouse makes Sourdough English muffins and many of you have experienced how a griddle-baked then toasted English muffin soars with the tang of sourdough.

We are pleased to add two new flavors of English muffins: Cinnamon Raisin (pictured) and Cranberry! These additions are inspired by fans Alison Rials and Jan Kaufman!!

Try a half-dozen (or a dozen!) this week and experience nooks & "crannies" :-) in a new way!

Tomorrow a new week starts at PureBread Bakehouse! Our sourdough starter, "Rockstarter", is fed and is ready to go!

Our Border Terrier, Andy, became an AKC Champion this weekend so we're celebrating here! PureBread Bakehouse is offering an "Andy Special" this week, until Friday. If you order ANY loaf bread (not bagels, rolls, or English muffins), you can order a second one for just $1.00 more!! This gives you a chance to get one to eat now and one to freeze later or try something new!!
