It all started with three simple words…

“It’s just cake.”

What started as one simple conversation turned into something much bigger than we expected.

Your reactions, comments, and conversations reminded us that there’s so much more worth sharing about what happens behind the scenes of a wedding.

And we thought… why stop here?

So today, we’re introducing something new.

BEYOND THE CAKE 🤍

A conversation series by D’flavor about craftsmanship, creativity, collaboration, and the experiences that make celebrations unforgettable.

Not just from a cake designer’s perspective, but with appreciation for every professional who brings their talent and passion to the wedding industry.

We’re here to share stories, exchange perspectives, celebrate the craft, and maybe even challenge a few misconceptions along the way.

Because behind every beautiful celebration, there’s always a story worth telling.

And we’re just getting started.

Stay tuned for our first episode. 👀

Who said vintage couldn't feel modern?

There's something magical about bringing an old-world decorating technique into a new era.

The intricate piping, the beautiful symmetry, the romantic textures… every detail feels like a little piece of history, reimagined.

This cake is our love letter to timeless craftsmanship, where tradition meets creativity.

Old-world charm. Modern romance. A little D'flavor magic.

Congratulation W&H

Some things are more than just things. They become part of who we are.

For Esteban, his Toyota Land Cruiser isn't just a car.

It's a piece of his story.

He's had it since high school. Over the years, he's rebuilt it, cared for it, and kept it close to his heart. Every detail holds a memory, every mile tells a story, and after all these years, it remains one of his most treasured possessions.

So when we were asked to recreate his beloved Land Cruiser as a groom's cake, we knew this wasn't going to be just another cake.

We weren't simply recreating a vehicle. We were recreating years of memories, passion, and a piece of someone's life.

And that's what makes our work so special.

Behind every cake, there's a story worth telling. Sometimes it's about love. Sometimes it's about family. And sometimes... it's about a Toyota Land Cruiser that's been part of someone's journey since high school.

Thanks for letting us turn something so meaningful into something unforgettable.

And a special thank you to Trish Beck for trusting us to bring this personal story to life.

Because at D'flavor, we don't just make cakes. We create memories.

White will always be the perfect choice.

Timeless, elegant, and effortlessly sophisticated, a white wedding cake never goes out of style. It allows every delicate texture and handcrafted detail to shine, proving that simplicity can make the most beautiful statement.

Classic doesn’t have to mean ordinary.

“It’s just cake.”

As wedding cake designers, we hear this more often than you might imagine.

And we understand where it comes from. When you’re planning a wedding, you’re making hundreds of decisions and deciding where each part of your budget matters most.

But a wedding cake isn’t simply flour, butter, sugar and eggs.

Behind what you see on the cake table are hours of planning, design, production, craftsmanship, transportation and setup—all for one moment that cannot be repeated.

And this conversation isn’t only about cake.

Every wedding professional brings experience, skill and responsibility to the table. When couples, planners and vendors understand and respect each other’s craft, we create better celebrations together.

So perhaps it’s not “just cake.”

Perhaps it’s one more piece of the experience you’re creating for the people you love.

What’s something about YOUR role in the wedding industry that you wish more people understood?

Some of the best wedding moments are the ones you never see coming.

At Anna & Austin’s beautiful celebration at the Sonesta, I was getting ready for our Millefoglie Experience when something completely unexpected happened. A few members of the family walked up wearing chef hats, ready to help me.I couldn’t stop smiling.

They had absolutely no experience making a Millefoglie, but that didn’t matter. They jumped right in, laughed through every step, carefully layered the pastry, spread the cream, and had the time of their lives. Before we knew it, everyone around us was smiling, cheering, and taking photos.

Those are the moments that remind me why I love offering this experience. It’s never just about building a dessert. It’s about creating memories, bringing people together, and giving families a chance to be part of something they will remember long after the last slice is gone.

Anna & Austin, thank you for trusting me to be part of your celebration. And to your amazing family... thank you for the surprise. You made the Millefoglie Experience even more unforgettable than I ever could have planned.

A & B

A beautiful day filled with a dreamy palette of blues and soft, elegant accents. The 24-inch Chantilly cake became the crown jewel of the celebration, an unexpected centerpiece that delighted almost every guest.

Moments like these are exactly why we love what we do. Creating something that surprises, brings people together, and becomes part of the memories they’ll cherish forever is the greatest reward.

Every celebration deserves a sweet moment to remember.
