It has always been our goal to start our very own family-owned and operated business. From then we starting researching how to make homemade donuts and began experimenting with various recipes (using our family as taste testers), until we were able to develop our very own recipe with unique flavors. In just 3 short months, OMG Coffee & Donuts was created! In an effort to set ourselves apart from t

he typical donut shop, we began creating donuts that were more visually appealing, gourmet/artistic if you will. Another niche of ours is that donuts at OMG are made by hand, from scratch! Our first order was delivered on April 1st, 2017. Since then we have been able to elevate our flavors and presentations much to the amazement of our customers. We wanted our business to begin locally, within our community as there is no donut shop at this time...and continued growth will always be our goal.

Update: I know it's been a while, but I've been going through some things...Back in the hospital for the 5th time. This thing has a course of it's own. Out for a week or or two, then it takes a turn and puts me back in the hospital for a week trying to breathe. The struggle is REAL and this journey is HARD, but I'm trying 💪🙏

Health Update: Well, after being in the hospital for 2 weeks, home for 8 days...NOW BACK IN THE HOSPITAL AGAIN!. Feel like I'm on a Rollercoaster ride and I want to get off! Where's the eject button??🤦‍♀️

Hey all! Just stopping in for another update... I'm home and doing ok, some days are better than others. Some days feels like progress while others feel like setbacks, but I'm pushing through it best I can. I just wanted to take this time to say THANK YOU for all the well wishes, support, and prayers. My heart is full 😊🙏

Hello all! I know it's been a minute since my last update, but I wanted to keep all our OMG Donut Lovers in the loop...

Could be better. In ICU with COVID Pneumonia, blood cots in right lung, and a host of other complications. Told it's going to be a long road, but trying to stay optimistic. Currently on oxygen and they are having difficulty keeping my heart rate down enough to get me mobile. Never experienced pain like this before, but I am just trying, praying that I can get through this. Even though I'm am fully vaccinated, my preexisting conditions were just too much to overcome, so I'm fighting as hard as I can. Just every time we think we turn a corner I'm hit with something else...THIS IS HARD and I've never been in this much pain and agony in my life. But my family is here with me as much as they can. They've removed COVID-19 restrictions so my wife is able to be here with me everyday. I will get through this! We thank you for your continued prayers and well wishes...

I have my faith and my family! OMG will be back!! ❤😇🙏✝️

Hello all! Sorry for the delay in communication. Here's an update: Well, I've been diagnosed with COVID-19 Pneumonia and now on oxygen 24hrs day. Just got out of the hospital a few days ago. Timeframe for recovery is unknown at this time, so until further notice OMG will be closed. Hopefully this is just for a little bit longer, but right now I'm have to allow my lungs to heal so that I return making our delicious gourmet donuts for you all 😉. I'm hanging in there, but this journey has been beyond challenging (you never realize how much breath it takes just to stand up).

Good morning all! Here's the latest update...

I had hoped to be able to open this week, but I guess it isn't up to me. While my family are all doing much better and are back at it (thank God!), it seems I have taken a turn for the worse. I have been trying to avoid going, but I think I may need to go to the hospital, unfortunately. For our customers that know me a little better, you know that I do have medical conditions that put me in the immunocompromised category so the healing process tend to last much longer for me. I am fully vaccinated and have been trying to do everything I could to avoid this plague, but that's the way things go I guess.

I do sincerely apologize to those who have been trying to place orders. Trying to get back as soon as possible! Thanks for your continued support and understanding.

UPDATE: So, it looks like we won't be able to open this week either. I have been advised to quarantine for an additional 5 days as it has hit my household. This REALLY SUCKS! Of course, we would rather be safe than sorry, but man does this put a strain on OMG 😔

Well, to look on the brighter side...hopefully these 2 weeks will just build up the anticipation for our delicious donuts even more😉 SEE YOU SOON AND PLEASE STAY SAFE OUT THERE. THIS STUFF IS REAL. ~OMG

Our Story

It has always been my dream to start my very own business and who better to do it with than my family! The idea of a donut shop came about one morning in mid January of 2017, while watching the Fox 4 News. A guy had just opened his 7th donut shop! So I thought to myself, “How difficult is it to make donuts?” Once I got that thought in my head, there was no stopping me. From that moment we starting researching how to make homemade donuts and began experimenting with various recipes (using our family as taste testers). Finally, we were able to develop our very own recipe with some really unique flavors. In just 2 1/2 months later, OMG Coffee & Donuts was created! In an effort to set ourselves apart from the typical donut shop, we began creating donuts that were more visually appealing, gourmet/artistic if you will. All of our donuts are made by hand, from scratch! Our first order was received on March 29, 2017. That spring/summer we increased our delivery orders and started hosting “pop-up” shops around town. With nothing but my truck and a table, we setup shop on the weekends in random locations and started selling out donuts. Word about our donuts spread like wildfire and before we knew it, we were selling out in 30 minutes after opening!! Our sales and recognition increased over the summer. We started attending local farmers markets and PTA events, etc. Our journey most certainly has not been one of ease, but the hard work and dedication is starting to pay off. We now have a permanent shop in downtown Blue Springs (The Shoppes on Main). We also plan to have a mobile unit that would allow us to take our donuts all over. Continued growth is always our goal. SKY IS THE LIMIT!!
