I'm so excited to share that today my JbBakeshop, LLC is turning FIVE!

It has been such a wonderful month leading up to the anniversary celebrating with my wonderful customers. I have loved revisiting many of your favorite bakes. I shared five cakes to celebrate five years!

After 5 years of baking (but really a lifetime from when I was a young girl), I LOVE BAKING. I love seeing ingredients make a beautiful cake, frosting make a cookie come to life, and a sweet text message saying how much you enjoyed your goodies.

Here's to the next year and many more ahead! Thank you from the bottom of my heart (and butter pile!) 🥰

Welcome back to In the JbBakeshop, LLC Kitchen - a behind the scenes look at the goodies in and out of my kitchen this past week.

Last week finished the third week of bakeshop anniversary deliveries. Last week's cake was my birthday cake - classic yellow cake with chocolate buttercream. (There was a piece or two left for me!) I also baked Neapolitan amaretti cookies, M&M cookies, and blueberry muffins. A large wedding cookie order went out - book themed, so cute! There was a mid week pretzel day and fall y'all preview sugar cookies. And today, I decorated Super Mario cookies for a birthday this weekend. Gosh I'm in love with these.

HOUSEKEEPING:

#1 TOMORROW, FRIDAY, is the last day to order for Labor Day Specials. Unofficial end of summer is next weekend. Deliveries are next Thursday and Friday 9/3 and 9/4. I'm bringing back all of the summer favorites. Check out the menu!

#2 I have TWO BACK TO SCHOOL sugar cookies remaining for Sunday or Monday. $13 for a 2 pack. Contact Jen to grab these up. Is your school going back to school later? I will have more BTS cookies available!

#3 I will be doing the anniversary raffle next Wednesday. If you placed an order (or orders!) or answered a trivia question correctly, then stay tuned for my post. #1 REMINDER:
FRIDAY is the last day to place your orders for Labor Day goodies. Delivery options are Thursday 9/3 or Friday 9/4. Options include:

And here are the results of the JbBakeshop, LLC 5th anniversary trivia question.

Question #4:
How many sticks of butter have I used year to date 2026?

Answer:
656

Tara Haines was the first person to give the correct answer. I entered her name into the raffle drawing!

This is 164 pounds of butter. I was shocked by this number. When I go to the store each week, I buy between 3-9 pounds of butter at at time. The restock crew always looks at me funny when I am loading butter into my cart. I joke and tell them that I am not using it all at the same time - but usually within a week. Butter never makes it to my freezer as I go through it weekly. As an example, making a batch of sugar cookies (about 2-3 dozen) uses 2 sticks for the batter and 1.5 sticks for the frosting. All of my buttercream is made with BUTTER.

I hope everyone has enjoyed the bakeshop's anniversary trivia. It has been so fun seeing your guesses over the past few weeks. I will be doing the drawing next Wednesday for the winner!
