Lola is officially back on the road!

Our vintage camper/ bakery on wheels made her first debut of the season today, and it felt so good to dust off the winter wi***es and serve up some sweet treats again.

As soon as we see Lola all dressed up, windows open, and customers lined up for their favorite bakery goodies, we know it’s officially WARM SEASON! After months of waiting, we’re excited for another season of weddings, festivals, community events, and making memories one dessert at a time.

Hi and happy Saturday. Just a few little snap shots of what we’ve been working on this weekend!

These wedding/graduation/retirement/shower weekends are nothing short of insanity. Today we literally have 4 weddings and funeral. Well, it’s more like 3 weddings, a shower, and a celebration of life. But nonetheless, it’s insanity. We are starting the process of looking for a full time baker, as our Miss Bridgette is expecting her first baby in the next few months (eek!! 🎉🎉). I can no longer, in good faith, be OK with her working 12 hour shifts 😂. We’re going to take our time finding the right skilled individual for this position, so if you have any interest and have a skill set in the baking/decorating industry, send us your resume!

Happiest anniversary to my betrothed. Seven years married and seven years better together.

Fun facts about our wedding day:

🤍 I made all the desserts for 200 people, including a 3 tier cake. I do not recommend. I was up until 2am the night before our wedding.

🤍 in total we got about 4 inches of rain from about 3pm-11pm. We had to cancel our firework show, our midnight ice cream cart, and our band had to stop playing shortly after they started.

🤍 we had an oyster bar! We also served lobster rolls at cocktail hour. Food was our biggest emphasis. We needed everything just right. 3 Dudes & Dinner absolutely stepped up and exceeded all expectations. To this day, our guests still talk about the food.

🤍 we held our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception all at Bennett’s Orchard which was so special to me. My uncle still talks about how he was pulling shoes out of the mud for weeks after our wedding. It was a muddy mess 😂. We also had Broken Barrel Hard Cider on each table. People were LOVING life.

🤍over 40 people flew up from Australia for the wedding!

There are some cake trends that I get over and hope to never see again (insert Unicorn cake here - not that I didn’t love them but I made about 15 a week for 2 years straight 😂). But this Silly Goose trend?! I hope it sticks around FOREVER. It is so sweet, so silly, and so exceptionally darling.
