As my following continues to quickly grow, I’d like to take a minute and introduce myself again. There are many new followers since the last time I posted an introduction. Hello, my name is Heather! 👩🏼‍🍳 The IceQueen herself pictured below. For those of you who know me, you all are wonderful and I am so thankful for your endless support. And for those who do not know me, hello and welcome! Thank you for following and tagging along on this journey of mine. All of your support is greatly appreciated and necessary to help me grow and thrive in the world of a new business.

As I’ve stated, my name is Heather. I am 26 years old, a cat mom to two lovely little kitties named Hercules and Hades, I’m currently fostering an adorable pup named Beatrice, I also have 4 outdoor cats (Bangers, Beans, Mash, and Absinthe), and I am a college student working towards my associate’s in Graphic Design. I grew up in Bedford Michigan and graduated from Bedford High School in 2014. I moved to Blissfield in 2017 to live with my boyfriend, Jarik. Jarik and I have been together since September of 2015… so a long time (no we are not engaged & I have no clue when it’ll happen… just know we’re working on it 😆). We live on a farm but when it comes to keeping plants alive, you might as well call us Bonnie and Clyde cause we rob them of life 🥴 As I’ve mentioned, I’m in college for Graphic Design. I attend Monroe County Community College and I only have a couple classes left to take before I graduate which is crazy and exciting! I am a busy, busy, busy lady but I do find free time which I enjoy by spending time with friends and family or staying in bed and binge watching TV while cuddling the animals. I am the youngest to my mom and middle daughter to my dad. I have 2 older siblings, a sister (Hollie), a brother (Stephen) and then I have my little sister (Haiden). I am an aunt to 8 (going on 10) wonderful nieces and nephews. They truly mean the world to me and I love anytime I get with them. I wish I had more exciting facts about my life but I live a relatively mundane existence day to day but it’s my world and I love it 💛

I started IceQueen Designs: Edible Art Cookie Co. beginning of 2022. I use a generic vanilla royal icing recipe but I use a family cookie recipe that personally, maybe I’m a little biased, makes the best sugar cookies. They’re my favorite sugar cookie I’ve had to date. And believe me I’m a cookie lover. I had previously, in my early 20s, worked at a bakery for a few years where I was very lucky to get my feet on the ground with basics on how to frost cookies with royal icing! Last year during the holiday season I had a group of friends over where we decorated cookies and watched Christmas movies in our pajamas and it reignited the flame that fueled my passion for cookie art! I made cookies for family as gifts for Christmas and New Years Eve, posted them on social media, and after a lot of encouragement, support, and kindness beyond comprehension, here we are almost a year into the business with 700+ followers and likes. I usually ask for about a 3-4 week notice but also encourage everyone to ask me if I have availability for an order no matter how close or far out the date is because you never know when there’s going to be a slow week vs a busy week. I genuinely love doing this and running my own business from home. As someone who has done art their entire life, this is work that fuels my creativity and productivity at the same time and it truly feels like peace finding a job I love and don’t mind doing. I often find myself getting lost in decorating while hours just fly by. I never feel like I’m punching in a time card when I get to work. I am truly happy with this path life has taken me on.

And I repeat that each and every one of you folks supporting me means the absolute world to me. I wouldn’t and couldn’t be where I am right now if it wasn’t for you. Here is to those who have ordered, plan to order, or support by liking, sharing, or following the page.

‼️ As the school year approaches, I have two things I would like to talk about ‼️

First is that I have these sweet little “Back to School” boxes for sale as a gift for your kids teacher. It is 3 cookies as pictured below. An apple, notebook heart, and a pencil. They run $8 a box. Additional fee ($2) if you would like any sort of personalization on them. Limited availability!

Second is that I myself am starting my school year back up in less than a week. My availability will tighten a bit with getting back into the rhythm of school. I strongly recommend if you know the date of the event and you want to order cookies, you reach out sooner rather than later!

My littlest niece turned ONE on Saturday and I just don’t know where the time has gone. I had the privilege to babysit this little potato 🥔 from the time she was about 4 months old until about 11 months old and watching her grow into her little personality has been the best feeling. She’s such a strong willed and bright little fierce thing and I couldn’t be more proud to be her Aunt.

I’ll always make you cookies every birthday my Frankinator. And I promise they’ll always be just as sweet as you 🤍🍓
