The list of people for whom massages-healing work-and non-sexual beneficial physical connection is fraught with anxiety is LONG.

Consider the experiences of people who are:

Trans, Non-Binary, Genderfluid, Queer-those with body dysmorphia, those in the process of a medical transition who are unsure of how others will feel about their "in-process" body, BIPOC individuals, those who are one gender, but "present" in ways typical of what society has deemed the "opposite" gender-people whose bodies are "different" in some way that makes the surrender necessary to this work very difficult.

Imagine if you were in one of these categories, how the barriers you experience in receiving positive touch might affect your loneliness-your nervous system, your pain levels and your immunity.

I am a member of the LGBTQ2IA community, and can offer a safe space that is respectful, supportive, celebratory and discreet. My space is hidden away, unique and cozy-The NEST is a place where people find healing, let go of things they need to release, and a sacred space where all are welcome.

In honor of all of those who go without healing touch-who fear that they are not welcome in these spaces, I am offering a special discount the month of June to all LGBTQ2IA people, and their allies!

I can't wait to hold space for you in all your wonder and uniqueness and to offer you the safety and acceptance you deeply deserve.

In every kind of work I do, this is the “secret ingredient” to my efficacy and success. I am not interested in being someone’s “fantasy dispenser”. For me, that’s a lot like using a critical piece of literature as a paperweight. I create and maintain connection with each of my clients, which means I am consistently in conversation-and turned toward their need. Always adjusting their trajectory to support them in their goals and evolution. This is not surface work. This is deeply personal and vulnerable, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Dandelions are cheerful, colorful, tenacious, full of lore about wishes and promises, and they’re almost entirely edible. Dip the flowers, and batter and fry for a delicious fritter. Tossed the leaves in salad for a high mineral, kidney supportive addition. Pull out the roots and roast it gently in the oven grind it in your coffee maker and enjoy a caffeine free coffee replacement. I couldn’t tell you what these purple flowers do. But I am almost certain that they are not even a smidgen as incredible as dandelions. And yet, people take great care to remove them from their yards, spraying them, using contraptions to pull them out by the roots. And all because somebody made up a rule: purple Vine-y flowers= good, dandelions = bad. Somewhere along the way, we humans have been categorized and similar fashion. Some religious organizations, cultures, governments, and others created constructs that those who were “in”, (aka being supported, encouraged and allowed to flourish) fit well. And those who do not… well they are symbolically removed- hushed- and labeled “bad”. Believe me when I say with my whole chest that in my circle, Dandelions are celebrated. And you are not too weird or too wild for this community or my stable. And yes- even if you are a basic purple flower, there is space for you here as well. Because I believe there is a place for everyone!
