I try my best at what I do and with each order comes new experience. There are a just a few things I would like you to be aware of when placing an order:Copyright Laws: I know that many people, children especially LOVE to have cakes designed after their favorite character or logo (i.e. Disney, Nickelodeon, Marvel, Hello kitty etc.); however, what many do not realize (or choose to ignore) is that i
t is illegal to recreate these for sale, without written consent from the original maker. I know that there are many bakers who will make them, and pictures of such cakes are everywhere online (made illegally, free for a family member or friend, or the baker has the rights to re-create it). I can and will try to match the colors/theme as best I can to get an inspired creation. If you are wanting a certain character on your cake, what you can do is purchase a figure, cake topper or image to be placed on the cake. I realize my page contains some cakes with copyrighted images; however, they were created as a donation or a gift. Thank you for understanding. How much does a cake cost? Since cakes come in all shapes, sizes and amounts of detail, prices vary. Information can be found in my photo section in the "Pricing" album. Please look at this carefully, as prices are bases only. It is best to decide what your budget for a cake is, so I can customize your order to fit within it. Please feel free to message me any questions you might have. How early do I need to order? I ask for at least 2 weeksβ notice to allow time to design and gather supplies (especially living in a rural area where many materials are not readily available). Earlier dates may be available, though not guaranteed. It is best to order a month or so in advance to assure your date is available. My schedule does fill up quickly since I do this alone, as well as have a family to take care of. If you place an order after 2 weeks prior to event date, and I do have an opening, a late notice fee will be added to your total.Payment: Orders are placed on a first come, first served basis. Payment is required to reserve your date. I do take 50% down (non-refundable) and the other 50% (cash or paypal only) is due NO LATER than pick up. First payment is due no later than 2 weeks prior to event date, though I will give you a payment due date. If payment is not made by said date, the day is offered to the next person who asked for a cake that day. Total payment is only an estimate and subject to change. If you pay via paypal, there will be a 4% fee per transaction. Free delivery is available within Blanding (will need to be arranged prior to event date). If you live outside of Blanding, you will need to pick up your order, unless special arrangements are made. Many cakes are constructed with supports that will need to be returned to me. An equipment rental fee will be added to your order, according to what is needed to make your cake. This fee is fully refundable upon return of these items. After 5 days after your event, you will receive half of the fee in return for the items. I agree to deliver your order in a timely manner. I do not take responsibility for a cake once it is set up/leaves my possession. You are responsible for providing an appropriate environment for your cake. Yes, frosting/decorations can melt/warp in the heat. Optimal temperature is 75 degrees or below. Cakes are heavy and require a sturdy base.I promise to do my best, with the knowledge and skills I have, to create something special for your event. I look forward to working with you and am always excited to try something new! Please do not hesitate to ask any questions you might have!
