After a much-needed little break to handle work, life, surgery, recovery, and all the other chaos that decided to pile on at once… I am FINALLY ready to get back in that kitchen! 🙌

📅 SUNDAY, OCTOBER 11TH — THE STAND IS BACK IN BUSINESS!

🩷 JUST A LITTLE LONGER, NEIGHBORS — I’LL BE BACK SOON! 🩷

I finally have surgery scheduled for my mouth this Thursday, so The Neighborhood Mercantile is going to stay closed just a little longer while I recover. I’m thinking probably another week or so, depending on how I’m feeling.

This is NOT a goodbye — just a short recovery break. 😂🦷

While I’m out of the kitchen, I still want y’all eating good and supporting local, so I want to send some love to two nearby stands I absolutely recommend:

One of my favorite things about this little community is that we can support each other instead of competing with each other. There’s room for everybody to win.

I really thought Sunday was going to be our comeback day, but my life had other plans. I work again tomorrow, which means there is simply no way I can get the stand stocked the way I want it stocked.

And rather than keep doing the whole…

I'm officially STOPPING WITH THE DATES.

The Mercantile isn't going anywhere. 🩷 I'm just juggling a whole lot of real life behind this tiny stand right now, and I don't want to keep promising y'all a day until I KNOW I can make it happen.

And because apparently the universe enjoys comedy, Monday I finally head to the oral surgeon to deal with this wisdom tooth that has been making my life extra fun. 🦷😂 So I'm definitely not making promises about what I'll feel like afterward either.

BUT HERE'S THE IMPORTANT PART…

I've got new things coming to the stand, some old favorites that need to make their return, and a certain sweet little local addition 🐝🍯 that I'm VERY excited about.

So we're not losing momentum.

We're just calling this what it is:

✨ A tiny business run by one very tired woman with a full-time job, an angry wisdom tooth and entirely too many ideas. 😂🩷

When I announce WE'RE OPEN, it'll be because the fridge is full, the goodies are ready, and you can actually come shop.

🩷 OKAY NEIGHBORS — ONE FINAL SCHEDULE UPDATE! 🩷
I’ve gone back and forth with myself trying SO hard to squeeze a restock into this week, but I finally have to admit something…
There just aren’t enough hours in my day right now. 😂
Between my regular full-time job, an extra busy week, life, and everything else on my plate, The Neighborhood Mercantile will remain CLOSED this week.
I know I’ve moved the restock around a couple of times, and rather than keep giving y’all another day and potentially having to change it again, I’m taking the pressure off and hitting reset. ❤️
This little stand means so much to me, but it also has to fit around the job that pays the bills. 😂 And I never want to rush through baking just to say I opened.
So for now, no more dates, no more moving the goalpost. When I know I have the time to fill that stand the way I want to, I’ll announce our next opening right here. 🩷
And don't worry—I haven't lost my baking mojo. 👀 If anything, being forced to stay out of the kitchen is just giving me entirely too much time to come up with new things for y’all. 😂
Thank you for being patient with me, rolling with the chaos, and continuing to support my tiny little stand. I promise I'm not going anywhere. 🥹🩷

🩷 PLOT TWIST, NEIGHBORS… WE’RE SHIFTING THE WEEKEND PLANS! 😂

Tomorrow’s restock is officially being postponed. Between my regular job, life doing what life does, and there apparently STILL only being 24 hours in a day 😂, I’d rather give myself the time to do it right than rush through a restock.

👩‍🍳 SUNDAY = BAKING DAY!
I’ll be spending Sunday in the kitchen getting everything made, packaged and ready.

🏡 MONDAY = THE STAND IS BACK!
Fresh goodies will hit the stand Monday, and we’ll stay OPEN THROUGHOUT THE WEEK while supplies last! 🩷

So instead of a rushed Saturday stock, we’re going for a fresh Monday fridge + a full week to come shop. 🙌

And since I have a little extra planning time… 👀

I may use Sunday to play around with a couple new flavors or small-batch experiments too. Because apparently simply making the things I already planned isn't enough for me. 😂

Thank you to everyone who supported, shared, purchased this week!

The stand is officially CLOSED while I prep for Saturday’s restock!

And y’all know what that means…

The kitchen is about to look like flour exploded, my counters are about to disappear, and at some point I’m absolutely going to ask myself why I decided to make “just one more thing.” 😂

But Saturday is coming 👀 and I want to make it a GOOD one.

So while I’m baking, I need y’all to help me decide what kind of mood we’re in:

The ONLY exception is Pepper Jelly.

Only a few jars of pepper jelly / glaze left.
Yall come finish cleaning this fridge tomorrow and if the rain cooporates im gonna get it sanded and a layer of paint down. Im almost ready to hang the sign I had made a while back.
