My name is Kennedie and I am a 2020 graduate from Carthage Central School and a 2 year graduate from BOCES in the Culinary and Baking program. I was a part of the National Junior Honor Society, National Honor Society, Yearbook and Spanish Clubs, 4 years of band playing flute, tutoring 5th grade math and my school sports include; soccer, volleyball, basketball and lacrosse. Outside of school, I dan
ced at Joanne's Northern Lights Dance Co. My styles were tap, jazz and ballet. I am a second degree black belt in Taekwondo under Master Kim's TTC. I have competed in many local and state competitions to include the Governor's Cup in NYC and winning the State's to become nationally qualified. I am also a 3 time grand champion and undefeated in sparring competition and board breaking. I started baking at the age of 9 with my Grammie making sugar cookies at holiday time. The interest grew into wanting to try my own creations and provide them as gifts and treats to my family and friends. I started to bake more for parties we attended and functions where people suggested I expand my baking selections and advertising. Here I am today at the age of 19! I am currently enrolled and attending The Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park. I am majoring in Baking & Pastry Arts and Food Business Management. I will be graduating with my Bachelors Degree in the summer of 2023, a year earlier than a normal bachelors program. My plan is to either open my own bakery at that time or work for a high end corporate company to put my skills to use.
