Howdy Dough Babes, Wes here. Some big changes are coming to DH and it’s time to let the cat out of the bag!
Over the last year, you’ve all had the opportunity to meet Gabriella, she who has taken over the gluten free side of the operation for me. She is the one who brought y’all GF whoopie pies and cinnamon rolls as well as keeping the GF stock plentiful.
Dough House exists today because of Gabriella- for real! I was planning to close the shop around the time Helene happened. In the aftermath, Gabriella made it known that she would like to take over DH since I was nearing the end of my journey with it. So, we kept it open after Helene and continue through to today!
My plan to slowly transition out by the end of the year, however I have received a near perfect job offer that I can’t let pass by. And so, I will no longer be working in the shop.
What does this mean for Dough House? Well, in the meantime it’s going to mean that our regular yeast-risen donuts will only be available on Saturdays and Sundays through at least the end of the year. Gluten Free goodies, however, will be available every day and in higher quantities than we currently make them! My absence will also change our opening hours. Since it’s only going to be Grabiella most days we will be closing at 12pm on Thursdays and Fridays. Saturdays and Sundays are we will still be open until 2pm.
So, that’s where we’re at! We hope these changes won’t bum out too many people, hopefully they’ll be short-lived changes! Actually, Gabriella is totally interested in finding a business partner(s), so if you’d like to be a part of Dough House’s future, come in and start a conversation!
