Karen's Fried Pies & More Scratch made nostalgic baked goods since 2005. Licensed and certified with NC agricultural Department. Also file my taxes!!!!!!! My Pies are made daily by hand.

Each pie has a generous amount of homemade fillings. The filling is placed onto sweet, flacky dough. The dough is sealed using a fork to crimp & then fried. Fried Pies are a Southern treat that has been around for a long time. Every morning the housewife would use the scrap biscuit dough left from breakfast and shape it into a half-moon pie filled with a fruit filling (usually made from dried pea

ches or apples). Then the treat would be sent to work with the husband and to school with the kids. Fried Pies make great gifts for any occasion!

This morning, Luke delivered our fried pies, banana pecan bread, chocolate zucchini bread, and triple chocolate brownies to Uwharrie Mercantile —something we’ve been doing every week for the past 8 years!
