HUGE ANNOUNCEMENT!!!!
My Grandmama used to tell me stories about sitting me in a chair next to her as she hand rolled biscuits and always saved room for my baby biscuits that baked right along with hers. I remember my Mom teaching me how to properly measure flour so the cakes wouldn’t be dry.
I also remember the day my Grandmama asked me to make her a cheesecake. After several attempts and lots of tears, thinking “I just can’t get it right”. The most amazing thing happened. Those “mistakes” are what led to the whole unique experience that has become a Louvonnie’s Gourmet Cheesecake. What makes it so special? Let me tell you!
The Original Double Cheesecake is a chiffon cheesecake baked to perfection and quick chilled to create the cracks necessary to blend the second layer, a whipped cheesecake. This texture combination makes what you ever thought cheesecake was supposed to be change in an instant. It’s an experience you have to try to believe.
So, without further ado, we are happy to announce that Louvonnie’s Gourmet will be available at Piggly Wiggly on Clairmont Ave, Birmingham, AL starting on September 19, 2026. We will be having a tasting on that day from 9 am- 2 pm. COME OUT AND GET YOU SOME!!
