A Bittersweet Farewell

Longtime baker, decorator, and familiar face behind the counter of Rickey J's Bakery is announcing that she will soon be hanging up her apron.

Janice Brown, owner of Rickey J's Bakery will be closing the business and retiring on Friday, April 3, 2026.

Rickey J's Bakery is truly grateful for the 24 years we have been allowed to serve the community. Clay-Chalkville began as our original home in 2002 and Hwy 280 Iverness became our current home in 2021. Over the years, our wonderful customers have become near and dear to our hearts. It brings us such joy knowing that we have been a staple in many homes for birthdays, holidays, weddings, baby showers, and other celebrations. Thank you for entrusting Rickey J's to satisfy your sweet tooth!
