So sad to announce the unspringing of this year's Springalingadingdong festival.
Because the City of Birmingham recently announced a significant fee for blocking off the street, we can't afford to do the festival downtown. Of course we are heartbroken because, shoot, what could be better than a theatrical street carnival and giant puppet parade to bring life to the city's "theater arts" district?
Last year's festival was magical, and this year's Marie had already prepared her golden curls for the ceremonious lopping.
Ahhh well, still some bureaucrats missing the forest for the trees..
We'll try again next year!

If you have long wanted to embark on the temporarily insane/glorious journey of revisiting your old middle or high school marching band heydays via joining a local rag-tag, scrap-a-long, Springalingadingdong honky-wonky parade-marching band, PLEASE LIST YOUR NAME AND INSTRUMENT HERE.
Practices, song selections, and uniform information to come! Please provide your own instrument, and/or play that one you REALLY wanted to play back then.
