One Final Reminder- RR Tracks on Main Street between Maple & Church Street will be completely closed to traffic beginning Monday October 19, 2026. Below is the full schedule of information. ⬇️

🚧 RAILROAD CROSSING CLOSURE – OCTOBER 19 (REMINDER)
The Village has received confirmation from Lake State Railway Company that reconstruction of the railroad crossing is scheduled to begin Monday, October 19, 2026.

The work is expected to take approximately (7) seven days and will include:
• Removal and replacement of the mainline and siding tracks
• Installation of new crossing panels
• Paving of the roadway approaches

Planned Detour
• Westbound: Maple Road to Canada Road to Elms Road
• Eastbound: Church Street to Burt Road to Beyer Road

The crossing will be closed to traffic throughout construction. Motorists should plan to use the posted detour route and allow additional travel time.

Please remember that construction schedules are subject to change due to weather or unforeseen field conditions. We will provide updates if the schedule changes or when the crossing reopens.

Thank you for your patience while this important infrastructure work is completed.

NOTICE: The annual BRHS Homecoming parade is Friday, October 9th starting at 5:00pm.
The parade route will be from BRHS turning north onto Church Street, Church Street to Maple Street, Maple Street west to Oak Street, Oak Street south to Ash Street, Ash Street east to Church Street, and Church Street south back to BRHS.
Road closures in this area will take place approximately 4:45pm until the end of parade.

Beverly and Cody were introduced at this morning’s DDA meeting and welcomed by Chairman Blaike Stafford and the full Board. We appreciate their willingness to serve our community and contribute their time, experience, and ideas to Birch Run’s continued growth and success.
